I had the possibility to be in the opening ceremonia. It was nice until...When the flag of US arrived, people were whisling, booing and insulting...Same with Croatia. How do yoy think those athletes of those countries felt? They are totally innocent and only kids in 1998. And what the other athletes from different countries thaught?
Everything should have been in the name of "fair play, sportmanship, better future, friendship...I was really ashamed when seeing the reactions of the diplomats and the foreigners around me.
The Serbs do not make better their reputation behaving like this.

Kosovo-USA, please stop your hatred for one minute. It may do you some good, too. This not a political event, but a world athletic event for students. If their are representative athletes from any UN recognized country, they can participate. Serbia did not make the rules, the world did (UN). If you, K_Albanians, want to be represented at world athletic events, talk to EULEX, not Serbs. Again, Serbs do not make the rules. Please take a time-out and enjoy life for a moment. Life is not about Albanians against Serbs in everything. There is more out there.

"If this is World Student's Games, why exclude Students from Kosova?
Please, don't tell me you have to be UN member to participate, cause switzerland was not UN member till 2002 and still took part in all world activities.
(Kosova-USA, 1 July 2009 20:48) "

Why you ask? Simple. Switzerland is recognized by practically ALL countries in the world. So UN entry is immaterial for Bern. Which is not what you can say for "Kosova".

Maybe because Kosovo is not a country??

And I'm sure it's got nothing to do with the organizers of this event.... so why bring Kosovo into your comment.

I hope it's a great and wonderful event.
