UNMIK was created under Resolution 1244 and according Resolution 1244 Kosovo is province of Serbia. Police on North refuse orders from Pristina.

now i can see sort of unity and strength in the K-serbs which is good. to fight for the right and be firm in decisions. guns are already everywhere in albanian houses thats why they are afraid of their own ghosts.

Zoran,
to be fair, nearly as many drugs are smuggled into Kosovo as are smuggled out. Since Kosovo itself is not the source of many of Europe's drugs but rather the central launching point for the world's drugs destined to Europe, all the Asian, African, South American sourced drugs must enter into Kosovo somehow (through smuggling) and then some of it might be used there (though I wouldn't put that number to significant at all), and most of it is shipped right out (through smuggling)...

# I really don't understand what could be smuggled here and how does one smuggle something within the same country?

So Tadic was in USA signing the IMF /WB accession papers for Kosovo?

I really don't understand what could be smuggled here and how does one smuggle something within the same country? Firstly, Kosovo is full of arms and drugs are normally shipped out of Kosovo (not in).

Keep up the protests as we need to work towards removing these administrative check points completely.

What about my right for FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT??

The commenters are always to quickly point out extreme cases and spew, "oh they live under barbed wires, can't move, no freedom of movement" blah blah.

Look who is tramping on whose freedom of movement.

isn't anybody concerned that these thugs might also transport guns drugs or even fake medication? This act endangers the minoritys more than anyone else. Plus trusting these idiots is like picking a turtle in a hourse race, they have mo plans as at every noon they have to regroup (all 6 of them) to think clearly.

"We will hold a meeting of the organizing committee at noon today, at which we will decide about the next steps,"

I hope the police decide your next step...right to jail.

I would not use the word residents, since they don't get a cut on profits, but I agree with businessmen and transportes since they are the ones dealing in black market and making profits.
Anyway this is an old news.
