"Responsible" media to receive state aid

The culture minister says financial aid to the media during the crisis will be provided “based on media’s social responsibility, not as help to companies.”

Why are you surprised? this happens everywhere and has happened in Serbia for years too. There is no such thing as unbiased but if your govenment is proportionaly representative then the funding should reflect the opinions of the voters (at least thats the theory). It could be worse, you could have the BBC.

Very similar policy to many Serbian allies, North Korea, Venezuela, Iran, immediately come to mind. Next step closing of those who do not fit the list.
