I wonder why K.Albanians are so surprised at K.Serbs boycott of coming elections? Didn't they themselves boycott Yugoslavian elections and created their own parallel institutions?

So, what happened and how do "Czechs" feel about it? As usual, talking to a selection of people gets you a variety of views. The ones you chose as being representative depends on you.
(Amer, 27 June 2009 14:59)

I just hope the "normal" are the norm, not the crazy trolls who never miss the opportunity to tell us about "Greater Albania", their religion being "Albanism" and promote hate.

This is very primitive behavior, disgusting and scares many outsiders away. Who will be on your side - the ones you deserve.

All I can say - the postings of overwhelming majority of Albanians not just did not made us, "outsiders" to join their cause, they actually excelled to scare people away. I do not know, why are they primitive to that degree.

In last few days I lost a great degree of my patience with that "pre-school", it's not even "pre-school" or "nursery" - but "mental clinics" here. To put it simple: the level of their culture is under the but of digging frog. For a while I tried to be "politically correct" - but now I am kicking that frog in frustration.

For everyone who loves democracy and freedom:

Please do NOT participate in these illegal elections.

As soon as Kosovo leaders admit that Kosovo is still part of Serbia and that they fully want to implement 1244 things change of course.

Don't sacrafice international law for Kosovo.

So please do NOT participate!

"Been there, almost believed it.... till realized some little details and till spoke with real K-Albanians. These are the myths."

I spent three years living in Prague, teaching English (a little) and translating (mostly). My students were either too young to have any personal knowledge of the pre-Velvet Revolution days, or too ambitious and focused on their careers to want to talk about it. These people had uniformly high impressions of their recent history and their country's - and their own - expected future.

Then there were the doorkeepers and retired neighbors in an unfashionable district, who would tell you, almost conspiratorially, that "things used to be better": jobs didn't pay much, but were easy to find, rents were low, and nobody was much better off than anybody else. For these people, the future seemed pretty bleak.

So, what happened and how do "Czechs" feel about it? As usual, talking to a selection of people gets you a variety of views. The ones you chose as being representative depends on you.

I think sixty countries believe it. What's disgraceful is that you would like for these stories to not be told in order to help further your political agenda.....
(Burim Krasniqi, 26 June 2009 20:57)

Crazy.

1) Countries do not believe, politicians have interest. This is not an argument. 60 leaderships of certain countries decided what they decided. The biggest democracy of the world (India) decided, too. Worth to mention.

2) I have no political agenda. In theory I am neutral. few K-Albanians contributed to my opinion as it is. This is a disgrace.

3) Who is the one who has political agenda (should I mention "Great Albania"?) and it's disgusting to spread lies to support it.

Maybe you say - I used to be more "moderate". True. I have absolutely nothing against Albanians who post honest and smart essays. In last few days I did see quite a bit. And I became infuriated regarding the REST. If there are so smart and well-intent people from Kosovo, why should we do tolerate trolls here, they contribute nothing to their cause, only damage it.

Regarding that "Humanitarian Law Center".

It is nothing else, but Natasa Kandic - run outlet, directly financed by US government. This is not myth.

http://tinyurl.com/qhest4

http://tinyurl.com/qzwuue

Now why would I trust a person who:

1) "She was charged for violent behavior in public, after she physically attacked Nikola Popović, an elderly Serbian refugee from Kosovo at Republic Square in Belgrade"

2) Another reason of her controversy is her support of Croatian President Stjepan Mesić and her entitling of him as a "proven anti-fascist in both word and act"

We know, who Stjepan Mesić is and if that's "anti-fascist" - than I am Dalai Lama.

Proof:

http://tinyurl.com/6dk2ef

"In December 2006, a controversy arose when a video was published which showed Mesić during a speech in Australia in the early 1990s, where he said that the Croats "won a victory on April 10th" (when the fascist Independent State of Croatia was formed) "as well as in 1945" (when the anti-fascists prevailed and the Socialist Republic of Croatia was formed), as well as that Croatia needs to apologize to no one for the Jasenovac concentration camp (i.e. the WWII Holocaust against Serbs and Jews)."

Case with "Humanitarian Law Center" finished, thanks for the link tough. I can imagine, how many virtual "Мёртвые Души" are among the "killed" Natasa Kandic does report...

Myths? B92, why do you let such comments in?
(Alban, 26 June 2009 22:27)

Myths because how many were civilians killed by Serbs? That's the "myth" some Albanians love to spread. As you know, it was legally established, there was no genocide in Kosovo. You can cry up to the skies, but just letting you know: your cries strongly contribute to scare people from Kosovo and plight of Albanians away. Less is more sometimes. You are among ones who actively spread the hatred and it does not look well for potentially impartial audience as I should be in theory.

From b92: "BELGRADE -- The Humanitarian Law Center has so far registered 13,472 victims—9,260 Albanians and 2,488 Serbs— in Kosovo between 1998 and 2000.

The Center dismisses media reports that it has so far registered 12,000 Serb victims, adding that the victims include 9,260 Albanians, 2,488 Serbs, 470 of other ethnicities, and 1,254 unidentified victims.

Information on 8,879 victims has thus far been processed completely and shows the circumstances in which the victims were killed, died or disappeared. They include 7,707 ethnic Albanians, 822 Serbs and 350 victims of other ethnic origin.

The Center states that all the victims were living in Kosovo between January 1998 and December 2000. "

This is a true sign that Belgrade is giving up on the K-serbs. They have realized that they have 'de facto' no power when it comes to Kosovos internal affairs. By reading Bogdanovic's statment he is simply telling the K-serbs that they should participate in the election because it is better for them than to be isolated in North of Kosovo or n their villiges. If they participate they can benifit from the right they ar entltled to by the Constutuion of Kosovo. They can also be a positiv force in building relations and helping to builkt a future where everybody can have a sasying.

The K-serbs are at the crossroad. The best choice they can do is to participate in th election so they can build up their life and start thinking on the future. On thing is clear to all nd also majority K-serbs ad that is that Belgrade is being week when it comes to Kosovo and they are losing controll. Belgrade simply cannot help you anymore in no aspect. It is natural because they have no power in Kosovo. Yhe longer you refuse to participate the worsen for you. We albanoans will still paticipate and live to see another day. K-serbs harm only them self by not participting because there is no other instutuions woking in Kosovo. The pararel criminal structures in he north is nothing to mention. Sorry, I know mostly myths like "ten thousand Albanians killed in Kosovo". I am not defending that little apparatchik Milosevic who was essentially a nobody, but a pretty evil nobody.

We are not thinking about whether you are thinking of calling on Serbs not to participate. Serbs = 7% of the population & Albanians = 92%. No one is going to notice if they don't participate. We still got our own republic and much international support from our Western progressive allies.

I wonder why K.Albanians are so surprised at K.Serbs boycott of coming elections? Didn't they themselves boycott Yugoslavian elections and created their own parallel institutions?
