On the day this protester was killed an american drone dropped bombs on a funeral in Pakistan. They killed scores of civilians targeting a militant that was not in attendance.

Obama's crocidile tears convince no one. The US is agitating and funding protesters in Iran for no other purpose than to create instability there.

The tragedy is that when the fanatical Iranians kill a bunch of protesters the US will not be there to protect them. They only supply enough support to get people killed.

Ask the Georgians how Mr. Soros' money brought stability to that country

you cant hold back wter from finding its own level

What can Obama and the west say that they could not have said to their proxy puppet Sakisvilli in Georgia who has been even more ruthless in cracking down on democracy???

Obama has been under pressure from Republicans and Democrats to react more forcefully to Tehran's crackdown on those who are protesting the results of the Iranian elections. But the president said he has taken a more measured approach to avoid the appearance that the United States is meddling in Iranian affairs.

It is a catch 22 situation for Obama. If he is seen doing nothing he will be accused of not giving a hoot about the demonstrators. On the other hand, any interference instead of helping the protesters will empower the mullahs who will used it as evidence of foreign involvement in Iran's
affairs.

The clerics in Iran are aware that the US is hamstrung by the wars in Iraq and Afganistan and by the crippling economic crisis. Therefore, any tough talking by Obama won't be backed up by any hostile military actions.

I think Obama's tough talking
has a lot to do with dicrediting the mullahs in the eyes of the world and also help the US in any future negotiations with Iran.

Any course of action Obama takes will squeeze the Iranian people in the short term.On the other hand, the mullahs won't be able to sustain theocracy as an ideology and model for economic development.
