if you are not a citizen of iran (like sarkozy or brown), keep your nose out of their business - this is why we have things called 'borders' - many people seem to have forgotten what the word sovereignty means.

Iran's capital, Tehran, was tense Sunday, following a week of sometimes violent opposition protests.

I wonder how many of those bay area iranians are former SAVAK agents or members of death squads linked to the above mentioned organization.

More (mostly young) people have been beaten and killed on the streets of iran by security forces this weekend, and there is a youtube clip of "neda" (a teen who was shot and killed) but i can't find it on youtube... you can follow the latest on cnn.com or at the bbc: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8111352.stm
also on "fareed zakaria" it was just announced that a prominent journalist was arrested in iran, and god knows what will happen to him or the others detained.
the various western govt's are trying very hard to be "careful" in their reactions but that doesn't mean that WE should also remain silent.
we should not.
there were demonstrations by mostly iranian diaspora around the world, incl the bay area. i hope to join one today or later this week.
thanks
