What is your obsession with Mladic? I wonder if you are equally critical of the thousands of Palestinians killed by Israeli soldiers, or is it only Serbs, Russians and Poles who kill people?

Here is my comment of the story about somebody who is spoiled for a long time! with this i mean our minister Maxime Verhagen. He has lost most of his friends a long time ago.Don,t you serbian people, look so sad because you are the most rich people of europe.Look what you have not what you want.We have a crisis now in holland, and still are people coming to us for work, you know why there welcome? because they are cheep! We half (pola) Serbi come to Serbia for holidays and to spend money in a beautiful Country.Just be patient..and everything will work out right.

They cannot get jobs, education etc, what means that visa free worht for wealthy ones only, in percentage less that 5% of Serbs.
Do you call this a success?
(Olf, 20 June 2009 17:12)

1) That's what Croatians had since number of years, it's much better than it was before.
Yes, thats why there are so many Croatians working in black market and getting the same treatment.

2) If you cross any border, there are many villagers on foot crossing the border, certainly not the 5%. So the grapes have to much acid lately.

If you would mean U.S. visas - even that's is'n correct. Try to fly on the famous JAT-Virgin Atlantic "pair" and the bigger half of the Virgin Atlantic plane speaks Serbian or Bulgarian, the smaller half a language I just can't understand, besides some words B92 would censor out.
It depends where you fly from.

Anyway, even USA is way above 5% for either and these are regular people, not mafiosi.

The logic is easy. With salaries being ridiculously low - but taxes, too and with utility bills also low (and sometimes not even paid) - the savings are actually higher than in the States where people live on credit.

Who is more rich:

a) a villager in Sumadija who has pigs, cows, vegetable garden and "official" salary of 200 Euro/ month, one old Yugo and a large fancy house.
How many villagers do you know that live the way that you describe. Villagers have left that kind of life since it is too expensive, for a life in the city on salary of less than 200 Euro. Travel from Belgrade south and talk to the people to find out what I’m talking about.

b) some of our neighbors in Cupertino who have USD $10K/month (till job lasts!), 40% tax bracket, one "Jag" they bought with 100% financing and a three bedroom "baraque"-like home which going to last 50 years at max - but was bought with 100% financing for 1.5 million and going regularly to Hawaii - from second mortgage.
Whoever leads this kind of life is bound for destruction. Dont try and tell me that all Cupertinos live this kind of life. Majority of people I know have a healthy life and would not like even to hear about the option a).
My guess is, a) - but b) is more fun (maybe). Just not sure how long it lasts. I could tell you details, but we are under NDA with some companies and I better not.
Thank you for trying but no need since I am very much aware of the circumstances in EU and US(I am educated EU Citizen).
However, come 2010 and we’ll see the number of people going to EU

Are you familiar with what all this "conscience" does mean? What positive/negative consequences it has to Serbia+EU or should I elaborate in detail? Because IMO this situation has no positive consequences to anyone, just little ugly political game.

Joe,

There are rumors that one day even Turkey and Israel may join EUSSR.Will they have to hand in their war criminals or US-Turkey-Israel-Saudi Arabia qurtet can afford anything without facing consequences?
It means among the others that the suicide rate among serb agricultural workers will not triple as it happened in hungary between 2004 and 2009 and small and middle size enterprises will be able to survive(again as opposed to those in Hungary).

Zoran

In a little over a year the NATO court in the Hague will be no more so there will be nothing to co-operate with.

We should focus on more important activities in the mean time and just forget about this until the court is finished.

Clearly one country is powerful enough to hinder the will of the remaining EU member states. It's a good lesson for the Kosovo Albanians as they complain about how some (in their own minds only) powerless European countries can block full EU support of Kosovo's supposedly eventual European path. Well for every Holland, there is a Spain, Slovakia, etc. Obviously, a minority of countries can stop a wave in any one direction. Lesson learned;-)

Joe

pre 14 godina

If the EU-issues are important for the Serbs than simply they should send Mladic to the Hague. There are no ifs and buts about it. The Dutch are right. Mladic has maybe 10-15 more years to live. If The Serbs don't comply it is fine but in that case just let them wait as long for the EU.

Olf

Visa free regime is the maximum that Serbia will get if lucky. The rest of the story is very strongly linked to Kosovo issue.
By the way, Serbians get to travel visa free and that is it. They cannot get jobs, education etc, what means that visa free worht for wealthy ones only, in percentage less that 5% of Serbs.

Seems clear to me. If Tadic is afraid of Mladic's supporters then Serbia is not where near ready for EU. "We don't know where he is" is not valid, no one really believes that

Go ahead Mr Tadic and keep giving serbian soul away for nothing. They are playing you for a fool. While others in Balkan are being patted in back no matter what they did or did not do, at the same time they are squeezing last breath out of Serbia. Look somwhere else for love because there is none in EU.

It appears to me that the Dutch regime really does love playing GOD when it comes to Serbia's EU integration process.

All of this nonsense might well come back to haunt the Netherlands when a number of issues are brought into the public domain, regarding the Dutch government's covert and sordid antics in certain areas of Bosnia.
The Dutch will also have a lot to answer for, in relation to their connivances and fabrications of incidents in their very own capital.
