It seems that polls like this often take place after the Visa gives Serbia a so-called carrot. The reneged on Interim Trade Agreement and the FIAT deal are perfect examples.
precisely our poor lost 'europeans' :))) they wont tell you the sample, and dates and they wont compare results to how they were 6 months ago or a year ago, they'll just cram some propaganda down your throat hoping you'll swallow ;) sorry, try it on someone else. i'm pro serbian. pro-russia, sure. and i dont even know or care what eu is. is it a country, company, idea? bah.
I don't know why polls like this are driven down our throats every month.
It is clear there is a majority in favour of EU membership. It is clear there is a majority against NATO membership.
It might be interesting to see popularity of one or another thing go up and down over a year or two year period but these monthly polls are a bore and worse still the media does not give us the interesting statistics I was talking about.
In short the media should ignore these announcements unless they are prepared to look back a few months to give us an idea of what is really going on, rather than just reporting somebody elses PR work.
AS long as it is not indicated where the opinion poll was carried out who was asked and how many people participated it is worth nothing but an empty piece of statistics.
Polls can be VERY deceiving- especially if they are done by US backed NGO's. ANY question can be worded as to promote a certain answer. I believe the obvious question here would be, "How many Serbs would prefer a better life?" Answer- 100%. But the average "man on the street" has no real conception as to what their life would be like under the EU. American Black slaves in the 1800's, for the most part (I'm sure more than 61%) loved working under their masters because they were fed and had a roof over their heads. But they were STILL SLAVES- completely under the control of their masters. Serbs will always be "slavs" but never "slaves". Bolje grob nego rob!!!
