I had the distinct honor to work with Dr. Trajkovic during my tour in Kos-Met from Sept 05 - June 07. She is a patriot, humanitarian, Christian, and friend of the highest integrity.

She mearly wishes what is best for her people and her home. She is from Podejevo and cannot even visit the ruins that are her house, or her apartment at the University in Pristina w/o KFOR Escort.

Belgrade, for the time being, is unable to protect or provide for the well being of Serbs remaining in their ancestral homeland of Kos-Met. She would not abandon them to death and ethnic cleansing just to score political points. She is a doctor, a mother, a Christian, and a Serb and she will do what is in the interests of the remaining enclaves. She is a nationalist though - this is not a criticism- and by no means recognizes the PISG in Pristina as sovereign over her land.

“We have only a virtual government that just convenes, but hasn’t the instruments to govern. They cannot work without Priština’s support,“ she said.

"Go for it Rada, and tell your fellow serbs as is, that without cooperating with Prishtina they have no future.
(Kosova-USA, 18 June 2009 13:47)"

But Rada's statement sounds as complain not as "acceptance of reality".

You are not interested in a real peace, it is obvious. Me and you do not leave in Kosova and don't have families in there. We can say whatever we like while having a pint of beer while chatting. Let the people living in Kosova decide what is the best for them without any outside interference.
(EA, 18 June 2009 20:40)

EA, just because I don't believe in letting you get away with stealing Serbian land doesn't mean I am not interested in peace. On the contrary, it is your people who started all the unrest there and threaten anyone who is not Albanian on regular bases. Your people have driven almost all non Albanians out. Does that sound like peace to you?

BTW, don't presume to know me. I certainly don't drink a pint of beer or anything else. I know you are trying to paint me as some sort of an alcoholic or a slob but I am far from it.

I also don't have to live in Kosovo to know what K-Serbs want and it is not what Rada is talking about. The resistance to your rule goes on daily, so she is a black sheep and she should be thrown out on her behind.

She probably think, that after creation of new municipalities their serbian authorities can refused integration with "independent" Kosovo. But it's wrong strategy. K-Serbs should totally boycott this elections.

Kosovo could become regional energy centre, says Ahtisaari
http://english.mti.hu/default.asp?menu=1&theme=2&cat=25&newsid=262532

Budapest, June 18 (MTI) - Kosovo could become a regional centre for energy production, which could help the country tackle political problems, former UN Special Envoy for the Kosovo status process Martti Ahtisaari said at a ceremony in Budapest on Thursday.

The Nobel peace prize laureate diplomat, who was Finland's president in 1994-2000, received the George Soros founded Central European University's Open Society Award.

Ahtisaari said he had been profoundly impressed by what he had seen in Kosovo on the first anniversary of the country's independence. Kosovo is much more peaceful, and this could allow a slow and careful start to withdraw the peacekeeping forces, he said.

Regarding Kosovo's prospects Ahtisaari noted that utilising its vast lignite reserves the country could become an energy production centre of the region. But to start mining and to build lignite powered generators could take another 12 to 15 years, which, once underway, could help tackle political problems.

KOSOVO AND METOHIJA, AND LIGNITE, BELONG TO SERBIA!

There you go Rada. They tried (Belgrade) but could not shut you up.

You are doing the right thing for your people, not the gentleman in Belgrade.

I don't want my taxed Euros to go to extremist institutions ("parallel"). If this particular minority wants to integrate they are welcomed but UNMIK is a key reason why there is such a big divide amongst Albos & Serbos in the northern Kosova.

UNMIK needs to leave. Buh Bye!!

Peggy, the lady is living in Kosova(o). How can you or anybody outside of Kosova(o) know what is better then the Serbs living in Kosova(o)? So let her be, she is just trying to make a better living, which she and everybody in Kosova(o) deserve no matter the nationality.

C'mon Rada, are you seriously suggesting that Serbs accept independnet Kosovo? Is this your solution?

Decentralized or not it still means one thing which is totally unacceptable to the Serbs. I don't know why they still keep you around.
