Mr. Jeremic is a true statesman who advocates on the basis of international law. His personal history and resume, along with his dual fidelity to both Serbia's history and the Rule of Law makes him an extremely impressive asset in presenting Serbia's position, rooted in the Rule of Law, to the world. The ICJ is Pristina's biggest nightmare.

Simple Mind,

Kosovo independent? Then I must have missed this decision of the UN Security Council.

You got a link for me please?
Thanks in advance.

I thought 1244 was still valid!

"Jeremić: UNMIK to stay in Kosovo". Jeremić speak for your contry Serbia. You can have all UNMIKs you want in Serbia, but Kosova(o) is independent and decides itself what it wants. And Kosova(o) doesn't want UNMIK, so UNMIK has to leave sooner rather than later. They are not welcome any more....

OMG this guy(jermic) is so funny, he should've been on entertainment TV channel and that way he would have made lot of money. Hey even UN members need to be entertanied sometimes. Nothing wrong with that.

I see it's all the same around here . i'm glad. Albanians still pretending kosovo's independent but, they're completely aware and saying they know that only if serbia lets them can they actually become independent, and albanians desperately hoping someone will force serbia to do it. and it's still the same, serbs saying this wont happen even when hell freezes over solid and kla and their shameful 'friends' spend a couple of milleniums skating, fuming, hoping serbia will "recognise". my serb sisters and brothers and our beautiful allies everywhere :) i think even our enemies admire us when they see how we're fighting for our kosovo. we fight with heart and soul because kosovo is our heart and soul. that's so much different from what the other side has isnt it: illegal spasmodic landgrab while 'friends' armtwist, blackmail and bite nails nervously :))

Kosovo albanians has won over 95% of the battle against Serbia. Jeremic is crying out his last words because I dont belive he will be here next year. One reson is because Serbia will have to give up her battle to colonize Kosovo within it's territory and the other reson is because nobody respects him anymore beside former communist states.

Unmik can stay but they will have nothing to do. The simple fact that they don't control nothing means that they are only there to make Serbia feel better. A virtual happiness I would say. Nothing real because reality is Kosovo as an republic and not a part of Serbia. Why dident B92 mention that foreign minister of Kosovo Mr.Skender Hyseni also attended the meeting and debated against Jeremic and beated him ?

Kosovo is a newly born state but our politicans are far more professional and stronger than serbian politicans. Jeremic is like a little child crying for help while Mr.Hyseni is a proud men with great respect who have told to the UNSC wich progress Kosovo has made over the year.

Jeremic only told some serbian dirty propaganda about some 20 000 serbs who wants to move back to Kosovo. A number wich poped up in his head because nobody have ever heard about 20 000 serbs wantning to move back.

But everybody can move back to Kosovo because Kosovo is now safe. Nato pull out have shown that clear.

As an international working in Kosovo-Metohija, I am shocked at your ignorance... As a s0-called republic, this place is hardly friendly to anyone other than Albanians. Serbs are NOT welcome here, nor are any other minorities. The only reason the internationals are welcome is to take our money in overpriced rent and services.

"Zannier pointed out that in spite of the Kosovo authorities' invitation to displaced persons to return to their homes, the number of returnees was very small."

To me this is all cheap talk and dangerous as well.

Let me be quite frank with everyone. If Serbia genuinely is concerned about the return of refugees in Kosova, FIRST Serbia must recognise Kosova's independence and not to even think to use these potential returnees against the Kosova institutions and independence otherwise there will be no REAL SECURITY for these people. Should Serbia recognise Kosova's independence that would be a massive change on the ground when it comes to refugees. Kosova is a country for everyone who respects its law and constitution.

The most boring UNSC session so far. The most boring speakers were FM Jeremic, Hyseni and Russian Ambassador. I was pleasantly suprised with Vietnam and China. After Japan Ambassador spoke I turned my TV off and went to sleep. What a waste of time was this session.

Would not insistence on everyone adhering to 1244 include things like
Serbia not interfering with the participation of the election process as established by the democratically elected govt(as per res 1244)
Would that not include Serbia adhering to customs control as laid out in Res 1244.
Or does this once again mean everyone should adhere to Serbian International Law.

"However, he also highlighted the problems Serbian officials were having entering Kosovo, and urged EULEX to take all necessary steps to address this matter."

Keep dreaming Jeremic. Your merchandise will soon need a visa as well.

--"The minister called the Kosovo Security Forces an “illegal paramilitary formation” that constituted a direct threat to peace and stability in the Western Balkans, and demanded their disbandment."

Illegal based on Serbian laws? I don't see UN passing a resolution to condemn them. If they are illegal, let UN say so.

More diplomatic victories are coming Jeremic
