I am shocked that the US State Department did not somehow spin and blame the ORGAN HARVESTING nightmare on the Serbs, like they did with most of the atrocities that were committed by the KLA, Bosnian Muslims, Croatian Ustasha, NATO and the world famous torturers. The last two are the most hated and despised on our little planet.

'Interesting how the US has singled out Serbia and not mentioned anyone else running the risk of a negative report. I wonder why, since the UN personnel are up to their necks in this themselves.'

The report covers about 150 countries - the B92 article discusses Serbia, I imagine, as being of more interest to Serbian readers than the situation in Russia, for example.

(This was a State Department effort - the problems in the U.S. are covered by the Justice Department.)

In an interview today Hillary mentioned problems in the U.S.:

“Trafficking is a crime that involves every nation on earth, and that includes our own.

Trafficking and forced labor are grave problems here in the US. And we’ve been reminded of this in recent weeks where authorities uncovered a scheme to enslave
foreign workers as laborers for hotels and construction sites in 14 midwestern states.

Twelve people have been indicted in that case – which actually involves trafficking in 14 states from Colorado to Florida to Massachusetts."

Peggy, Albanians are not the only ones to blame here. Crime does not know borders. If there were no criminals in Serbia, how else would these victims end up there? Be real.
(Kujtim, 17 June 2009 16:36)

OK, I'm getting really fed up with my words being twisted again. Where did I say that Albanians alone are to blame? Show me that sentence please.

I even said that the UN is up to their necks in this so as you can see I share blame with all. I did say that they should check out Snake & Co. for a very good reason because the Albanians are the masterminds behind this.

Next time please either read what I say properly or try to resist the temptation to distort what I actually say.

I suspect, with some goodwill and some brain it is not really hard to close the entire human trafficking and drug transit. So the "West" maybe lacking at least one: either goodwill or brain. My vote is #2.
(Ataman, 17 June 2009 11:07)

Ataman, as long as there is a demand there will always be a supply. You cannot completely stop it but you can surely minimize human trafficking and that’s what the report is about.

“So let me get ths right the trafficking is going through Kosovo, which is run by Albanians under the protection of Americans, but Serbia is to blame because Kosovo is a part of Serbia I guess. I thought Kosovo was independant according to Hilary and if so how can Serbia be held responsible by Hilary for the criminal activities of Albanians in Kosovo.”
(miles, 17 June 2009 12:26)

Although Kosovo did not rate higher or lower than Serbia (Tier 2) its report is different than that of Serbia. In other words, Kosovo and Serbia are distinguished as two different countries within the report. So the report on Serbia is only about Serbia, excluding Kosovo.

Kujtim, I couldn’t have said it better!!

It’s interesting how joining efforts for a common good it’s so hard in our region and so easy in joining efforts for common evil. I hope that for the common good the gov’t of Kosovo and especially the gov’t of Serbia are willing to cooperate together in minimizing the human trafficking in the region.

Hypocrisy made in USA again. In Hungary the activities mentioned in the article are run mainly by Romas and Albanians. As far as I know the situation is very similar in the Balkans. So if police really cracks down on these criminal gangs the same ultrahypocrats in NY,Frisco and Washington will cry about the broken rights of gypsies and albanians and write about returning of Milosevic era.
And Hilary should bear in mind that many guys involved in this business are former allies of her husband.

Kujtim

I wish that our politicians could cooperate with eachother like the criminals do. In cases like these, politics should be left aside and there should be full cooperation between the authorities to stop this inhuman treatment of women, and children.

not to agree in any way with the notion of human trafficking, and not protecting anyone who partakes in such vile activities, but I must ask myself and the rest of the readers: Is this not the same investigative group/team/nation that was certain beyond reasonable certainty that, one, Saddam Huesien had a stockpile of WMD? We, the world over, have witnessed the collosal pile of WMD when the American military machine liberated these people. Or perhaps we, the world, missed that special on CNN. Eitherway, it is very difficult to take anything that a US government says at face value. When they were stark mad wrong on intelligence that was used to make the ultimate descision, how likely are they to put the effort to make confirmations into a topic that is, to be honest, less important, especially to US interests.

Again, if the US are correct, which is not unreasonable since it also happens throughout the USofA as well as any and country in the world, the governments of all unwilling-conspiritor nations should ramp up their roles and pick away at this oldest of old professions from all angles and try to bring it to a stop finally.

It is no secret the us state department is filled with Serbophobe bigots and this obviously biased report is another attempt (like the old Mladic video) to prevent the visa liberalization and eu entry of Serbia. Although I am not in favor of Serbia being friendly toward bigoted governments, I am also tired of the blatant lying from the us. Just ignore the us state department.

Interesting how the US has singled out Serbia and not mentioned anyone else running the risk of a negative report. I wonder why, since the UN personnel are up to their necks in this themselves.

This is a serious crime and I don't mean to minimize it at all but they have to look at everyone doing this and helping everyone stamp this out. First and foremost they have to check the snake and co. out. We all know that Albanians are the ring masters here.

Sorry I know I am trying to make sense of all of this and the truth is so boring, The American mad house is so much more fun.

1) What I do not understand is why anyone from Slovenia goes to "golden West" via Serbia if there is no border control on Slovenia's Western borders?

2) Besides Kosovo as being self-induced problem it is worth to mention, there is not a single direct route to Kosovo other than either land-way via Albania or flights via Western Europe. Indeed, one does not need to have a German transit visa to fly a Tashkent-Berlin-Pristina route... but isn't here easier just to require a Schengen airport transit visa from anyone going to Kosovo from Central Asia?

I suspect, with some goodwill and some brain it is not really hard to close the entire human trafficking and drug transit. So the "West" maybe lacking at least one: either goodwill or brain. My vote is #2.

this is disgracefull, i am sure this problem should have a united front from both sides, i hope this is a fignt on bothsids of the border and clean up this act.

there shouldnt be any objection in this matter this needs to be addressed as a united front, and if there is everything else that has us apart this crime should face us united.
