Personally I think that having a job (or a thousand other issues I could name) is more important than wasting time and money by having a referendum on joining NATO.

A clear majority of Serbian citizens is against joining NATO and no government would try to join unless this public attitude changes.

BTW Zoran having a referendum does not rule something out. First a referendum is almost never binding. Second one can have a referendum one year and the same referendum 2 years later with a different result.

So there is no benefit to be gained from a vote. No benefit to the Serbian people that is, although some political benefit for DSS for 'winning' on an issue. But who cares about that?

Don't you guys realise he is calling for a referendum because he wants it rejected? NATO membership is very unpopular in Serbia so it's better to get this ridiculous idea of join such an immoral club buried forever. The sooner we do this the better.

Forget about NATO for the time being. Recognise Kosova's independence first and then welcome.

What is he saying?

"the struggle against the adoption of the anti-constitutional Vojvodina statute is the highest state, national, economic and patriotic interest of Serbia".

No chance for Vojvodina to get its right with peaceful means.
