AgIm one minute we are told that Tadic is some kind of extremist nationalist, another Milosevic. And the next minute we are told he is practically accepting Kosovo independence.

Which is it?

Rick I'd say that the EU gives all prospective new members from the Balkans similar treatment and lack of respect. Ask Lenard for the opinion of Croats on the EU these days. Ask the Romanians and Bulgarians.

This idea that the EU is particularly anti Serbian does not bear out. The truth is they do not care, they want us to do as they say to get in, as is the case with other countries.

However, if they were to say that recognition of Kosovo is a condition of entry that would be a bridge too far.

"He called it a "Yugoslavia without Ottoman remnant muslims (Bosniaks/Albanians)". "

If that makes you sleep better at night think that. Just arrest the war criminals and have the remnant of slavic occupiers in Dardania cooperate with the legitimate authorities. Otherwise you will wait for another 10 years for visa (they were promised to Serbia in 2000!!!.)

Another great "diplomatic victory": You won, the Albanians lost. If you really want to hurt us, give us Presheva as well!

A poster yesterday gave an apt description of Serbia's admission to the white Schengen nations, following Croatia which joined years ago. He called it a "Yugoslavia without Ottoman remnant muslims (Bosniaks/Albanians)". Montenegro and FYR Macedonia will probably join on Jan 1 also, which leaves Republika Srpska whose citizens HAVE TO BE granted Serb citizenship as per the Constitution if requested.

Just be "constructive" on Kosova and you got them Tadic! So far very good, you have abandoned parallel institutions, told Serbs to listen to EULEX, now tell them to vote.

Tell serbs to integrate and you get visas 6 months to 1 year earlier. What a bargain!

It's interesting to note that, even though Serbia has, more or less, successfully completed the "second" phase of visa liberalization with the EU.....nowhere have I actually read as to HOW MANY phases (read "how many hoops") do the Serbs have to go through yet??? This is exactly why Serbia should not trust the EU- it's THEIR game and THEIR rules- and they are not treating Serbia with the respect that ANY sovereign country should receive. So why are we even concerned about "making" their White List- especially when it would only effect less than 10% of the Serb population!!! The government needs to concern themselves more with our major issues- like territorial integrity. Most EU countries want to tear 15% of Serbia away from her....yet are willing to toss carrots like the White List to Serbs so that we forget Kosovo- and what it really means to the Serbian nation!
