The aim of the above article is nothing more than a cheep shot aimed at the relations between the Albanians and the Slovenes.
The standard of reporting is well below the level of a respected media outlet and clearly shows the desperation of the serbian media on the "fight for Kosovo". Sad.

This dose not make sense..

Moreover, the number of companies founded by Kosovo citizens is on the rise in Slovenia, while the number of companies started up by citizens of the other former Yugoslav republics is in decline.

As I understand if a people found mmany companies in Slovenia and help their economy then they vill bee banned from entering the country or have I missundestood the whole article.

Slovenia is limiting the TOTAL number of work visas to 24,000. Of the 24,000 visas quota (limit) only 1500 are as yet unfilled, and 95% of this 1500 (i.e 1425) will go to ex-Yugo country men, EXCLUDING Kososvo. K-alb will have to fight for the remaining 5% (i.e 75) work permits.
But Don't worry... I am sure that Kosovo albanians will reap the benefits of their "unprecidented rights" of EU recognitions they so 'valiantly' fought for soon enough.

I don't take the Slovenians seriously they are anti people who ever you are Serb ,Albanian ,Croatian ,Roma etc. They denied to tens of thousands citizenship by order of government. Even to people who were married to Slovenians or lived the majority of their life in Slovenia. Next it will be for Croatians ,Serbs ,Bosnians etc. It will be the same excuse the EU made us do it. If you get a lynch Slovenian mob and you want to get rid of a Roma community. The Slovenian government will oblige move them in army trucks true bad sad. Instead of the government reading the riot act to the Slovenian mob to disperse and they are breaking the law also the peace.

Plus ca change. Back in the day, slovenians were happy to demonstrate and strike in support of the Kosovo Albanians.

But it all comes down to money.

The slovenes did the best economically out of the SFRY and resented the 'Kosovo tax' they and everyone else had to pay to subsidize kosovo's albanian's violence. The answer was clearly independence.

Some people still think that allies and friends will love them whatever the circumstances, but where there is money involved this is not true. Sooner or later the Kosovo Albanians will discover that they cannot rely on handouts (aid, loans, grants) from the international community forever or generous financial assistance from their 'friends'.

The money WILL run out and then reality will have to be faced.

Look what has happend in Bosnia where only a few short months ago the Bosnian/Croat Federation was on the verge of bankruptcy. Ok, it was ultimately bailed out by outsiders, but it shows the manifest incompetence of those in charge having failed to do anything to create an economy that can survive without humiliating foreign aid. Unfortunately the more nationalistic bosnian moslem leadership thinks deludedly thinks it doesn't have to do anything and dreams of living on mythical 'war reparations' from Serbia.

Curious is it not that those sides supported by the West with massive financial support (I mean free money, not real business investment) are economically worse of than those who have not 'benefited' from such support?

If there is one thing the 'West' dislikes, it is doling out their money endlessly to scroungers.

The article is misleading. This does not mean that non-Kosovars are preferred, it only means that those 1500 will be reserved for mainly slavic speaking nations of ex-Yugoslavia. Out of 24000, 1500 is nothing. 95% of that 1500 goes to ex-YU. Kosovo can apply with the other 23500.

Makes perfect sense.

Seems like B92 is making attempts to cause friction between Slovenia and Kosovo.

Hey, I thought these countries recognized Kosovo? Typical european hypocrisy - everything is ok unless I have to pay. Kosovo better start re-negotiating with Serbia real soon.

MikeC

The truth about why Kosovo was recognized so quickly by neighbouring countries and Western Europe is not so shady any more.

This is typical Albanian behaviour. Let them in and soon they have taken over and you are forced to flee. 20 years later they demand independence by saying ilirians were there 15 gizilian years ago. I guess the Slovenians have learned from Serbias mistake.

Slovenci, you got what you asked for. Enjoy your liberal fantasy land with your Albanian friends. In reality, Serbs were your friends, but, with the EU's proding, you made your bed. Much more on this subject to come from the EU. I can't say I'm not enjoying it.

Rick

Big surprise that K-Albanians are trying to abuse the system to gain access to other EU countries. But then again, Slovenia put itself in that position. Perhaps someday, Slovenia will look back and see that the Serbs were their honest friends.
