To everybody here that is assuming that they were kids or not kids , hackers or crackers...
Since nobody knows who they are for real don't you think it would be wrong to say(without real proof) that they were albanians , Just because they put "Kosovo is Albania" on that site ??!!
They could very well be Serbians also ...and if you think that my theory is crazy, think it again.

Peggy

This is not news. Computer hackers will allways exist and exist in all countrys. Writing an article about 10 years kids who hack in computers make no sense.
(Demi, 11 June 2009 11:11)

How do you know how old they are? Do you know them personally?

Don't be such a hypocrite. Every time some vandalism happens to the Serbs you people start with "It's only the kids". Then do something about your kids for they will be adult criminals very soon. Is this the way you teach your kids to behave?

Now if this happened to an Albanian website you would be the first to condemn it. I can bet my last dollar you would not say that it's only the kids.

Perhaps your kids aren't getting a proper upbringing.

Better this than killing people, though they should rather use their talents to develop their IT industry, rather than wasting time.
If this may be better for you what do you expect on future.. Those message may increase violence but your no aware for this.I' think your message is the same with that one.. you shouldn't write message again..

Promoting and condoning malicious activity, regardless of the perpetrator, is simply wrong.

At least I do not promote violence, unlike some others on this site.

"With all due respect, Ataman, but I still think this is better than pulling the trigger and killing innocent people."
(Kosova-USA)
It is scary to read such comment. Why this comparison at all? Is there, in attacking a website, a hidden desire to kill? Any other alternative to that desire? And what if one is not capable of killing a website, what then? Pull the trigger? God!

Kosova-USA says..."I give thumbs up to Cyber War, since there is no bloodshed and no one gets hurt."

Is this comment based on ignorance or arrogance?

This has been going on between Kosovar hackers & Serbian hackers for a long time. Unfortunately, both of these groups are not intelligent and they can only hack poorly secured websites.

With all due respect Ataman, but I still think this is better than pullling the trigger and killing inocent people.

This is true, but it's a waste of energy for nothing. I do not support Serbian-made defaming of Albanian sides either. If you do not like the politicians - tell them some other way. This won't make anyone you do not like angry, only innocent sysadmins, who could be well Bosnians, Hungarians, Albanians. The Serbian "fat cats" of politics will laugh, their poor "slaves" who could be Albanians living in Belgrade will have a night without family or g.f. and without a single Dinar for overtime work. Or maybe someone in Croatia or Hungary will swear. Completely wrong target and completely missed goals.

BTW: it is alway worth to see, what company did design the web site. You could be surprised.

I guess if Serbian "warriors" strike back at their Albanian websites they will start to complain about who those evil Serbs destroyed "civilian" websites causing much harm and grief ...lol

(Ataman, 11 June 2009 11:32)

They are doing better things. You just do not know of them, just like you dont know or dont want to know about anything positive in Kosovo.

I personally know of at least 5 large EU companies who have already outsourced the software development in Kosovo (to Kosovar companies).

I am not going to give names and websites here, but if you do not want to see anything positive, you also wont see.

Aha, and the innocent system admins? I am not for personal attacks, but this comment is really poor. Besides, such "cyber wars" are childish and I do not support them even against some ugly neo-nazi sites. The attackers should grow up, get a life and a real job for their talent.

Besides - to everyone - this is not called "hacking", it's "cracking". We, "hackers" feel ashamed to be compared with "crackers". Mistaking "hackers" ( = people who dig inside to OS-es and work on the code, mostly LINUX, Solaris, MacOS) with "crackers" ( = people who do destructive, immature things with operating systems and web sites) is a common misnomer. Many crackers can become good hackers - once they learn how to deal with hormone rush and sexual challenges of teen ages.

By the way, I trully respect every one of your coments on this site, despite the differences of opinion.

If Kosovo was not so lawless something could be done about this. Hackers put out entire systems in hospitals, banks etc so the harm they cause is greater than many think.

I am sure that these hackers are not 10 year old kids, as someone here stated. This is the work of Kosovo's temporary government, trying to suppress news it finds detrimental to it's cause. There is another article today on B92 of this suppression of their own reporters. So much for democratic values.
