As usual the UN will discuss Kosova’s democratic achievements and what more needs to be done in the future if they’re needed of course. Well, almost all the UN representatives have left Kosova since there is much better security than earlier years. An update at the UN is necessary not only for Kosova but for the rest of the world as well.

Illegal Kosovo independence can have effects for the whole of the planet as it will open the door for other independence movements.

If we allow Kosovo to become indepedent illegally, how can we say to a Kurd: stay in Iraq?!

look what they were willing to risk to obtain it and what they are willing to put up with today (international oversight, for example) in order to maintain it.

So then, how exactly do you have independence? You have to be supervised. I am not in charge of the company I work for if I have a boss, so then you don't have independence either if you have to listen to your boss.

You have a job to do and your job is to sit back and let the big boys decide what happens to the land you live on. They will decide how it is to be used or abused. If you don't like it, too bad.

Some independence. It's a joke.

'Agree. So give up on ever being independent and get on with your lives.'

This is less likely, I think, because independence affects every Kosovar Albanian directly. For Albanians, independence affects every part of their lives - look what they were willing to risk to obtain it and what they are willing to put up with today (international oversight, for example) in order to maintain it.

'A deal is only a deal if both sides agree!'

Agreed. So recognize Kosovo and get on with your lives.

"These attacks are clearly aimed at silencing the kind of journalism and investigative reporting that makes the government uncomfortable," said Wanda Troszczynska-van Genderen, Western Balkans researcher at Human Rights Watch.

Well, I hope Ban has the guts to call for real negotiations.

At this moment Kosovo is still a Serbian province governed by UN.

A mutual agreement is needed.

And to EA and others: no we don't have a solution yet. A deal is only a deal if both sides agree!
