How sweet of some member here talking about "Serbia rising and finishing" what Slobodan started, its a shame your leaders dont tell UN and EU the same thing.

“any decision, if it comes, will be made on the basis of political and military, not just military, factors.”

This really translates into funding. The US and its proxies can no longer afford to fund misguided missions. NATO will slowly exit this occupation and I assume that's why Serbia is being pushed into becoming a member.

Independence is dead and I have mentioned before it is far easier for Serbia, Russia and China to keep it irreversibly blocked (as it costs nothing) than to maintain a dead issue costing billions. Now who is in a stronger position?

Agim, not a good idea-yet! Kosovo is not strong enough yet to undertake the task on their own. Once NATO downsizes it will take a major event to rebuild. Everyone knows there are far too many waiting across the border to finish Milosevic's goal. Maybe by the end of 2010 or 11.

Cant stop water from finding its level.

If the US continue to block a peaceful resolution agreeable to Serbia of Serbia's internal issue then the alternative will be happen as soon as KFOR are all gone and Serbia follows other US inspired interpretation of soverignity such as Croatia or Sri Lanka's example

- maybe this is what the US want!

Time will be on Serbia's side as the US and other EU countries in NATO already feel the financial pinch and waste of keeping a false state running while losing so many forces in the more demanding efforts in Afghanistan and need KFOR troops sent their instead.

They are 10,000 Kosova police and soon 2500 NATO trained KSF troops. Send most of KFOR home, leave maybe 5000 and allow Albania to send another 2-3000
