Desentrialization in Serbia will come when all other Balkan countries do the same, when RS becomes independent, North Kosovo is free and Southern Epirus in Albania is returned to Greece.

I saw the map of the new Republics in Serbia and It's a disgrace! Serbia must use better judgment in that, for example Sandzak must be all alone, the same for Presheva etc.

Decentralization is a must for EU, you are only delaying your entry.

MikeC! The decentralization of BiH is their problem and decision. RSrpska has nothing to do with the decentralization. From the Serbian point of view Kosovo is still part of Serbia, but ofter the UID and reckognition from almost all the EU members, the question of decentralisation is obsolte. There is no South Epirus. For Greeks is North Epirus. For Albanians is South Albania and Cameria(including Janina, Preveza etc.). It is up to Greece to restart conflicts with Albania. As EU member there is no need for that.

Greece should give back Qameria to Albania in that case, but lets not go that way it will be a mess Turkey will ask for most off the islands back and it will be a big mess.

Local government should not be allowed to become a platform for those with separatist tendencies. Local government is there to look after local services.

Multi-ethnicity in the context of a ethnic majority is now the norm in most parts of the world. The very idea of there being VHungarian (or a KAlbanian) should be treated as an irrelevance - it is counter to the aims of an integrated society.

Serbia should maintain its integrity and provide a basis for life that even the minorities feel proud to be part of. That is much better than encouraging spurious autonomies or provincial separations.

Nationalism is unhealthy whether it comes from a majority or a minority. However, the idea of a national base (Albania, Serbia, Hungary etc.) representing the majority ethnicity is a useful norm that also needs to be protected.

Provinces should not start thinking that they are countries.

This is how autonomy can be and is revoked by the Serbian government. They did it before and can do it again. Whats to stop them?
