They sky fell--NOT. Neutrality is great if you have 1,000,000+ soldiers and 1200 tanks like Tito had. But now you have no choice anyway, no NATO unless you solve your "border dispute," and Russia can't help you since you're surrounded by NATO countries

"Mike, never trust everything you read. FYROM wants to join NATO too, why isn't it?"
alban

You mean don't trust anything unless it benifits the Albanians, is that what you mean?

"Not that Serbia doesn't want to join NATO, but it can't join NATO."
Patriota

Ha ha ha! Everyone can join NATO. Even Russia if it wanted to.

"US Vice President Joseph Biden in meetings yesterday with Serbian government officials said that Belgrade can join NATO swiftly if it wants, but that no one will pressure it to do so."

Thanks but no thanks!

Don't you get it? Serbia doesn't want to join NATO.

“not just for Serbia and the region, but for the whole of Europe, the greatest security challenge is the secession attempt by the autonomous province of Kosovo.”
one of many ala-serbian style stupid declarations.

How they are not ashamed of repeating stupidities on which they don't believe themselves??

This is insulting for the intelligence of 5 year old kid.

As far as I'm concerned, Serbia should remain militarily neutral and independent. That way we will continue to maintain good relations with all of our friends and potential friends.

Kosovo is an issue and we hear about the process of independence being irreversible but we should also be aware that independence can never be achieved and is irreversibly blocked. Basically, the status quo continues and it will remain that way until successful negotiations.

Joining alliances that work against our interests would only make life more difficult but having said that, this is a juicy carrot we can use to our advantage. The Serbian army is relatively strong and disciplined and I can see why NATO would be interested.

We should never join NATO but let them continue to be interested.
