Dragan I'm not certain why you personalise it either.
This is about regional justice and whether you support such initiatives or why not.

This is not about Natasa Kandic the person. It is about Simo Spasic and all others that have lost their homes or worse and their right to justice.

If we can't press our governments to act on this (and lets face it they aren't really decent are they?) then somebody has to press for it.

At any rate I'm sure that Croatian Serb representatives / NGO's broadly support the initiative.

God bless natasa kandic and her colleagues, in serbia and throughout the world. of course nationalists hate or at least distrust her, but she is the best hope for getting us beyond the mire of the past. she is a remarkable lady!

thanks natasa! we owe you big time.

bganon,
The guy she slapped is named Nikola Popovic, and I fail to see what Simo Spasic has to do with Kandic's behaviour with regards to missing Kosovo Serbs. It has absolutely nothing to do with anything, and I am rather offended that you would try to link the two.

She is right. The victims should receive justice, all victims. Her problem is that she is too obsessed with non Serbian victims but I'm quite happy if she applies herself on a regional level to ALL victims.

Dragan you might want to note that Simo Spasic in the film, the guy who used to be head of kidnapped serbs, has since been charged for raping his seperated wife. Normally I would not mention this fact but I think a slap for a Kosovo IDP is next to nothing compared with a raped Kosovo IDP.

I was very sorry to hear about both the Kandic incident and Spasic's wife's statement.

“What happened in the last decade cannot be forgotten. We must be responsible towards the past, we must ensure justice for the victims, in order to create the conditions that guarantee that these crimes will not be repeated,” Kandić told an Assembly of the Coalition for REKOM in Bečići.'
Not just the last decade, the last century, the last millenium. She was told by her western bosses to only focus on the last decade because that is the decade of very strong lies and anti-Serb propoganda.
But yes, let's focus on the genocide against Serbs in Croatia (twice in the 20'th century and Croatia still unpunished and proud of this), and in Kosovo - both supported strongly by the US and Germany. Serbia has more refugees than any other country, and is the biggest victim of these wars. Those are the facts, but Kandic will not let the facts get in the way of a great story.
But what do you expect from a woman who attacks an elderly Serb refugee from Kosovo, simply because he was demonstrating against the lack of information of missing Kosovo Serbs (many of whom it seems had their organs removed and sold for profit).
