Including Jeremic and Serbia? It was my understanding that Serbia had already decided the Kosovo independence was illegal.

So why did you hug all those Serbian churches to pieces?

No reason to hate Jeremic. He is doing his job as the Foreign Minister.

It is the Serbs who should have an issue with him for two reasons.

First, because he has compromised his position by trying to play countries against each-other and this has been revealed hurting his image, especially in the West.

Secondly, by showing a baseless optimism on the issue of recognitions and thus intentionally misinforming his citizens for political reasons.

He was a great choice because he is young and resourceful. He was a bad choice because he was young (yes it works both ways) and he is impatient.

"Don't prejudice ICJ decision," warns Jeremić

Then why do you? You said that if ICJ decides that Kosovo independence is legal, serbia will not respect it.

I'm noticing a pattern by officials in both Belgrade and Pristina saying that we shouldn't "prejudice" any international resolution going one way or the other. This is probably because international resolutions and statements are usually waterned down by all its dissenting members to finally say something that really doesn't say anything at all. From the fuzzy OIC resolution to the impending ICJ resolution (not to mention the recent watered down EU resolution), these things attempt to say everything at once, yet leave interpretation up for both sides to claim technical victories.

I have every belief the ICJ is going to come down the middle in regards to Kosovo, making it perfectly fine for states to choose on their own whether they want to recognize or not. But as the OIC resolutuon seemed to have stated today, "you're not obligated to do anything that's binding".

In short, continued status quo, as I believe many on both sides think.

"If that is true, why do you albanians hate him so much?"

We don't hate Jeremic. We want him to continue to be Serbia's foreign minister because it helps Albanians. Jeremic is just an amusing character. Like recent history has shown, everytime he claims a victory, he gets hit in the face with new recognitions from Kosovo (look up Montenegro, Macedonia, etc). How can we possibly hate him when he indirectly helps us?

If that is true, why do you albanians hate him so much?

America is running out of countries to pressure into recognizing your Taiwan replica of a fake state. To bad the economic crisis hit when it did, otherwis the Americans would have been able to buy the recognition of Fiji and Haiti.
No amount of recognitions will change the facts on the ground. Kosovo will be partitioned and there is nothing anyone can do about it unless violence will come into question, and it won't.

Jeremic sometimes has to speak this way and before any decision is taken because he truly needs to look like he has won at least some sort of political victory.

Everyone knew that with countries like Iran there, that there would not be a simple resolution, but Jeremic needed to twist it a bit into his favor and that is understandable.

The latest news is in Kosovo's favor it seems:

"Lulzim Basha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania who is participating in the 36 Ministerial Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference has confirmed today in a live phone interview for RTK that the OIC has passed the Kosovo resolution. All of the members of the OIC have voted in favor of the resolution.
“The Kosovo Times” is working to acquire the text of the final resolution adopted by the OIC Summit. According to our sources the adopted resolution, a non binding resolution, opens the path for individual OIC member states to decide whether to recognize Kosovo or not."

The details should be coming soon, but this does clear the way and it is encouragment for many OIC members to recognize the independence of Kosovo.

I wonder where from this recognition will come?
I am sure not from Jeremic friends, Iran, Cuba, Libya, North Corea.
