Hopefully there will be some "technology transfer" in this endeavor, so that our construction workers gain some technology. It is noted that Western firms have very little if any technology transfer, but non-Western ones have more.

Chinese aren't known for quality construction work. Note the building collapses, with or without earthquakes.
I don't understand why this Serbian government shuts out Serbia's well-qualified construction companies. Are they trying to make Serbia jobless?

Top,

I believe you may have misunderstood the article and the Chinese markets.
It says Chinese company is interested in undertaking the project.
Almost everything in China is either owned completely or partly, by the People's Republic of China.
Foreign investments especially.

After all, that's what it means to be ''communist''.
Even though they're not really communist, but never mind.

In any case the Chinese move is a big moral support for Serbia and a kind of answer for the destroyed embassy. China is the only alive part of the US economy. So they won't open their mouth whatever the Chinese do.

Ehh? Did you understand the article? The Chinese don't donate anything, or repair a destroyed bridge! A chinese construction company was choosen for building a new bridge in Belgrade. That's all!

Well done !

Some folks destroy bridges even if they are located far away from the conflict area and some others rebuild them. Has Biden mentioned anything of compensations ? I doubt it very much.
