Peggy, everyone can view Martic's evacuation order online. It's a indisputable fact that the overwhelming majority of the Serb population chose to voluntarily leave Croatia. Furthermore, these people have not been prevented from returning to Croatia - can anyone say the same about Croats attempting to return to their properties in the so-called RS?

Those who left and who have chosen not to return have as freely chosen to reject and abandon their citizenship. If they wish to vote as Croatian citizens, they should return to Croatia and live there permanently - not live in Serbia and only visit Croatia to dishonestly manipulate the democratic process.

It is no wonder that these "voters" are seen rightfully as foreign agents attempting to manipulate and undermine Croatia's sovereignty.
(p, 18 May 2009 07:25)

They are your citizens and are eligible to vote. The fact that they don't live there any more is a black mark against you not them. They were ethnically cleansed and are still refugees in another country.
So, stop with your racism. They are legitimate voters and there is more of them.

Now Croatians in Serbia do vote all the time. They live there and are Serbian citizens. Nobody is stopping them. Are you trying to tell us that there are Croatians in Serbia who have fled from Croatia to Serbia because of the threat to them in Croatia? The only Croatians citizens like that are those Serbs returning and trying to vote.
The other Croatians have lived in Serbia all the time and are equal to all other citizens, unlike the Serbs in your country.

I wonder how Croats attempting to vote in Serbia would be welcomed?

These people coming in on buses from Serbia are being viewed as citizens of another nation attempting to interfere in the internal affairs of another nation. This is yet another instance among many of Serbs attempting to assert control within and over Croatia.

Well, Srbs who left Croatia did not do this because they were GOOD citizens, but because they killed innocent Croatian civilians. So with that said they cannot return back to Croatia unless they are ready to face the MUSIC!!!
(Patriota, 17 May 2009 17:01)

Patriota, you have already tried 250,000 people, found them guilty and are now administering punishment.

If 250,000 people were all guilty and war criminals, there wouldn't be one single Croatian left in Croatia. That many criminals would be enough to exterminate the whole of Croatia.

And is anyone naive enough (save maybe yourself) to think Slovenia is about to cave in soon? More likely it will be Zagreb who will have to give way. And I didn't know Slovenia went to war against Croatia, the EU and Nato. Pray tell wwen was that?

Radoslav,

I think Croatia would have to build those centers together with Serbia. I never see that happening!

I would like Pupovac to put a little more pressure in the Croatian gov't. He needs to make more demands. I do understand his life may be endanger if he does, but someone needs to speak the truth a little louder.

He reminds me of Milo and Boris! Says what he is told! Serbs in Croatia and Kosovo need a "Serbian Martin Luther King" to represent them!

Wy can't centres be opened inSerbia for Serbs to vote in the Croatian elections? Foreign nationals in other countries do this, eg. Us citizens in the UK can cast their vote in the UK for the US elections.

Haven't the Serbs and Croats moved on from 14 years ago?

Wow, stoning of buses of voters simply because they want to excercise their democratic right. Wonderful. Are these the 'European Values' that Croatia possesses, that Germany admires and is therefore pushing for Croatia to join the EU? Nothing has changed since WWII. Everything is still the same, the only difference now is that the naive governments in France, the US, and the UK, are on Germany's side this time.

Patriota,

I think you need a better understanding of the war between Serbs and Croats.

Serbs left or were they ethnically cleansed?

Face the music? The only people that need to "face the music" are the Croats. We all know that they sold off their country to not do so.

You preceive history as Croats never doing harm and only look at one side of the story. Obviuolsy no innocent Serb civilians were killed because all Serbs are criminals. Croatia is such a democratic country?

Viva Serbia!

Yeah, maybe 5,000 out of 250,000 eligible voters. I'm really impressed with croatian "democracy". This is why europe/eu is such a clown show. Why doesn't the OSCE monitor these elections like they monitor all Serbian elections? And Tadic wants to join this circus.

Hrvoje Klemar

It is thanks to Mr. Pupovac that Serbs exiled from Croatia are beginning to perceive Croatia as their homeland - hence the large number of those who decided to contest the election. This is the best way to show extreme chauvinists both in Serbia and Croatia that xenophobia manipulated into their heads by Milošević and Tudjman can be damaging to all.
Bravo, Mr. Pupovac!

I may risk 10000 Kuna to bet: these perpetrators will be "unknown" for the eternity.
