As usual this kind of report sparks off some anti-EU and anti-Everything response.

Serbia is doing well in its progress towards EU integration - and it is a necessary goal for the future financial well-being of its citizens.

The EU is a partnership of countries that benefits all the members very well. Imperfect it maybe, but it is much better than the isolationism and factionalism that is the current alternative.

It is also much more plausible than some idea of a lose community of 'friends' which never works unless it is further formalised - in which case the EU is as good a formalised solution as any other.

As for Miliband - I don't like him either!

"Duh! They also support kosovo's EU integration so Serbia has to what 22/27 EU members want.

But Serbia is recognized as independent state by ALL EU members, and Kosovo - not :)
So, Serbia have better chance for join to EU than "independent" Kosovo :)

Nik,

I think the UK should support the European project of deeper integration. Also, the UK should adopt the Euro as soon as possible.

David Milliband can safely be ignored.Like many politicians he has never had a proper job in his life and his comments on the EU are totally predictable.
This week his party and other UK parties are immersed in an expenses scandle which has led many people to wake up to the big gravy train.
The EU is the greatest gravy train of all.It benefits politicians. It can't benefit Serbia which will lose the power to make its own laws.Serbia will become a little region within Europe.Tadic and the Western puppets will benefit but don't go down that path. The EU is corrupt undemocratic and slaeze ridden. If it can't get a result it tries again.Look at Ireland which has got to vote twice. We in Britain were promised a referendum. We are told the new treaty is not the same as the old one.We are lied to all the time.
