What is so funny? Poland is the 6th largest economy in the EU (after Germany, France, UK, Italy and Spain) and will have a $1 trillion dollar economy within the next five years, so what makes this news so funny?

I wonder if when (or ever) Albania joins the EU and says that the doors are open to some other country that has not yet joined (which I find hard to believe that there still will be one, given Albania's economy, but anyway), if it will also be as funny as this news apparently seems to you.

If Russia ever expressed an interest in the EU, what do you think they would need to do in order to be allowed to join?

"The policy of a divided Europe can only lead to conflict in the long term," Kaczynski said. At what price do the countries of Europe have to pay and are paying for a monolith of a united Europe. How will run the show and where are they going. Europe has a abysmal record it will not be different then the past guaranteed even worse.

Bravo Mr Kaczynski!
I have news from my polish friend, that polish forgein minister Sikorski was few months before Kosovo's unilateral declaration of "independence" AGAINST recognition of "independent" Kosovo. So why they recognized Kosovo in 2008?? Mayby any US/EU pressure??

I think there will be several waves of EU enlargement in the Western Balkans.

first wave: Croatia

second wave: Macedonia Montenegro and Serbia

third wave: Albania

fourth wave: Bosnia and Kosovo

I hope that Iceland and Croatia will join the EU together.
