Good article and quite true about today's Kosovo. You Albanians are getting a bit of your own medicine and you dont like it. Well ask us, we can tell you, we didnt like it a bit when you did it to us for the past 5o years! Its called civil disobedience and it will continue for as long as we dont separate completely.
To LOGIC,
We know what is your plan, so dont hide behind the international law fence please. You are just insulting our intelligence. That goes for all your pals on this site...

@ Jovan

1,2 billion USD were "promised" to Kosovo during the so-called "donor's conference".

Kosovo has not yet seen a single cent from that amount. Remember, they were "promised" for concrete projects. I do not even expect 10% of that money to really come to Kosovo (financial crisis in between, donors wont pay).

In the other hand, that money was not even supposed to be part of the budget.

In the last 3 years, 90% of the Kosovar budget is generated through taxpayers (this years budget about 1,5 billion USD). PERIOD.

There are of course some projects with international help, not part of budget. However, the administration, police are paid from the budget (including the rebuilding of some Serbian churches).

the fact that this is being hidden from the Serbian media is highly unfair.

"NO "Top", it is NOT true. 90% of the Kosovar Budget comes from Kosovar taxpayers (and 90% is similar to percentage in Sebia)."

How big donations will be send from EU/USA governments to Kosovo in this Year?? How many millions EURO/$ will come to Kosovo's government??
1,2 BILLION EURO will come to Kosovo in 2009-2010 - about 600 million EURO every year. And mayby next money from World Bank or IMF. This Year Kosovo budget is about 1,43 Billion Euro... Nearly 1/2 of this money is from european countries or USA...

This is what happens when media in Serbia are biased and do not get the facts straight.

NO "Top", it is NOT true. 90% of the Kosovar Budget comes from Kosovar taxpayers (and 90% is similar to percentage in Sebia).

B92, why dont you help your readers to quit believing in tales from other Serbian media, and concetrate on facts about Kosovo. Most of the people in Serbia have no idea about Kosovo, all what they believe to "know" are fairy tales and propaganda.

B92 should publish an articles about Kosovar budget and where does it come from. Let us see who paid for rebuilding the chruches and who pays the serbian policeman who do not want to work. Its always Kosovars, taxpayers, and not "internationals".

Listen to the retardness coming from beograd. No b92 i dont mean rhetoric, I mean retardness.

Look at the flawed logic from a serb. Ivanovic claims that the serbs can't be bought out and want to work via unmik chain of command. They can't be blackmailed bc they are openly accepting money from the Kosovar Government.

The world day by day is shocked by Serbian propaganda. They do not want to work, but they want the money. They will not pay the utility bills yet they want electricity.

Honestly, get lost. No freeloading. My flag has 6 stars, it will be just fine with 5 stars.

'Its all EUs fault who's allowing this to take place.'

Actually, it's probably the EU that's responsible for the stiffening of the international spine. While it was up to the UN, all they cared about was preventing any disturbances. Since EULEX arrived, things seemed to have changed: courts are in session, houses are being rebuilt, the police are getting serious about dealing with these pampered malcontents. Things are looking up, if you care about the rule of law.

That is riduculous! Sack them all and start the recruiting process again. Can't you see that the Serbians government are having a laugh with Kosova's institutions? Enough is enough! Stop begging them!

I dont understand some people, they don't wanna pay for their eletricity, they don't wanna work? How can Pristina tolerete this kind of abusing? Kosovo has an extreme unemployment and this guys want money from Pristina and obey Belgrade!? Its all EUs fault who's allowing this to take place.

Prishtina is not counterproductive. Prishtina is telling this serbs that as long as they don't work they will not get paid. It is not counterproductive but fair to the other which works for their living.

Where in the world do you expect to get paid without working ? Nowhere and if you ask me this serb policeofficers would get fired long time ago. It is not fair when K-albanian police work while serbs get the same paycheck without working. How does that sounds right ?

“There will be no yielding, and they have to realize that it is possible to integrate these people into the system only if they get what we have been asking for - that the chain of command goes via international representatives. Without this, our people will not return to KPS,”

And they will not get any salaries. No one is forcing them to do anything: return to work by June 1st or you're fired. The paid vacation is over, one year is 1 year too long! 5% of the population cannot hold the rest hostage, the KPS will find plenty of serbs to fill the 300 vacancies, especially since Serbia cut their salaries. Worst case, we'll get Montenegrins, Bosniaks and Roma instead.

Stop wasting time and money for this xenophobes.

Kosova is plenty of unemployed people.

1 and a half year you are paying them to please them (read beg them) without any result.

The most important thing is that policeman’s are professional, not their nationality. Hire Albanians, Bosniaks, Turks, Montenegrins, hire the one that want to work.

You have left the son of Adem Jashari unemployed and pay people that don't work for over 1 year.

STOP the discrimination of K-Albanians!

Only with justice you will gain the respect and peace. Not by compromising with xenophobes.
