Skyman asks: "Tell me one circumstance where Albanians would lose support of America."

Answer: When America goes bankrupt. According to the American government's own projections in 20 years non-discretionary spending will exceed tax revenues. In 50 years the interest payments on the U.S. national debt alone will exceed government tax revenues.

America can't afford to maintain it's military supremacy for more than 15 or 20 years tops. The American national debt has grown by more than 1300% in the last 30 years, and the annual defecit is $1.75 trillion this year. We can't keep this up forever.

Mark my words, the day will come when the United States is more concerned with saving itself, than it is with helping the Kosovo-Albanians.

When the U.S. Government begins cutting Social Security and Medicare benefits, the American people will not stand for 1 cent of their tax dollars going to help the Kosovo-Albanians. You won't find a single American politician who wants to help Albanians when Grandma is out on the street because the government took away her social security.

As an American let me say this to the Albanians: We care more about ourselves than we care about you. If your long term plan is to rely on us and use our military strength to spite the Serbs, then you need another plan.

When we abandon you, you don't want to be left alone with a bunch of angry Serbs who, after years of disrespect and persecution, might be inclined to settle Kosovo the same way the Czechs settled Sudatenland after World War II.

Not all Albanians, nor Serbs, are killers and to arrest an individual for Crimes that every objective person knows he is guilty of does not malign a nation
(marKo, 11 May 2009 19:42)

If you come here to sell us the "higher and purified" standards of Serbian justice, I beg you to hold on to them yourself, because with all due respect, I as an Albanian, am not interested. I have seen Serbian justice at work many times since I was a kid, (just like many Croats, Bosniaks, Hungarians etc have) and it wasn't pretty.

You speak as if you come from the cradle of justice and integrity in the Balkans. "Give us Ceku so we give him Justice".

Yet you forget that the majority of Serbs today think that Karadcic, Arkan, Milosevic and co are not criminals, who should have been surrendered to any outside justice.

Ceku is not a criminal just because Serbs say he is.

All Albanian ex-KLA leaders always coperated with Hague and almost all of them charged were found not guilty. Not one of the ex-KLA leaders is hidding from Hague or any form of unbiased justice .... so you figure who is the coward here.

Now if you think Serbian justice upon albanians is one of a higher standards than that of Hague, I am sorry but this is something that would be laughable at best.

As I said, there will be no peace in the region, if Serbs try to force their justice upon Albanians, and vice versa. So let's stay away from each other for sometime.

Denis you are mistaken on many counts- 1 Serbia has no master (sadly none whatsoever;not in Belgrade and not in Moscow What Serbia has is a government that pretends to do two things a. act like western marionettes b. pretend to lead Serbia.

2 Your make-believe Kosovo exists because of the great powers while Serbia continues to exist despite them. Nobody helped Serbia when it was bombed, nobody helped Serbia when it was partially occupied and yet Serbia still exists.

3. I don't want Albanians to be arrested for being Albanians- I can't imagine how that would make sense to anyone. I want Ceku to be arrested for crimes in the medak pocket and crimes in Kosovo province; The man is a murderer and coward and IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS ETHNICITY.

Serbia has done its part in sending their accused war criminals to the Hague tribunal or they have put them on trial at home. By contrast, Kosovo's Albanians refuse to put their people on trial. Instead they live in a fantasy world where nothing they ever did was a crime. Thus, when ceku goes abroad he expects every one else to live in the same fantasy world. Unfortunately, that's not reality and there are places he cannot go without getting caught and put on trial. Make no mistake, not everyone in the world thinks Albanian war criminals are darlings. Many people in the world would be quick to capture them and send them to trial. In fact, I believe that only 58 countries so far have recognized Kosovo's independence. If I'm not mistaken, that leaves lots of countries that have not recognized their UDI, and I'm sure those countries would send this alleged war criminal back to Serbia for trial. My suggestion to Kosovo's Albanian community is to stop living in a fantasy world and accept the reality on the ground.

Nobody complains, everyone proclaims that justice has been seen to be done. Now compare with this scenario. Ceku, an alleged war criminal, is found in Colombia. Serbia request that he is deported in order that he can be tried for his alleged crimes. This time several countries complain about Serbia abusing its Interpol membership, France get involved to attempt to help him avoid justice and he shouts about the attempted arrest being nothing more that some kind of politically motivated stunt. Does anyone else feel that there is something unbalanced here? Surely an alleged war criminal is an alleged war criminal whatever their nationality? Can I suggest that Serbia may be able to recognise an alleged war crimnal better than most, after all they have extradited more than 90% of their wanted alleged war criminals to the Hague in the past few years. Fortunately for Serbia, Interpol runs on a one country one vote system (unlike the IMF) and as most countries in the world don't recognise Kosovo I suspect that Ceku's begging will fall on deaf ears and there's very little that the EU and US can do either.

Talk about abusing.

Go talk with your friend US please!

Tell me one circumstance where Albanians would lose support of America. It's the same as Serbia losing the support of Russia.

Nobody is losing anybody's support. The game now is all about gaining new support, and Albanians are winning that battle.

Kosovo is Serbia no matter how confused albans are and thats stated in resolution 1244. Even if it is occupied territory sooner or later they (kfor) will leave and Serbs will regain control. Then they will arrest Ceku. However, he is lucky he was in the puppet of US Columbia. If he were in any other latino country they would have arrested him and extradited him to the Hague or Serbia.

No home, nor land has more than one master-in Kosovo You would be best advised to tell your people to do exactly what the master tells you to do, lest you loose favour and are cast out

As an Albanian I would take the US friendship and alliance anytime rather than brutal serbian regime. I am sure you will do the same with Russia, your master.

I am sorry, but we as well as other nations of ex-yugoslavia were fed this "brotherhood and unity" stuff for 50 years only to find ourselves slaughtering each other once again, only to see how our families were locked in pizza shops where Serbian soldiers threw granades and dumped their bodies in mass graves all the way to Belgrade.

It didn't work for any of us. So it is better if everyone is in its own. And you quest to arrest and persecute albanians at any chance you have, because you think they are criminals, will only drive us further and further from any kind of reconciliation with Serbia.

All participants of Croatian mass ethnic cleansing of Serbs from Krajna should stand trial for the massacres and largest ethnic cleansing in the former YU. Ante Gotovina is going to jail for his participation, and I dont see why Ceku should not be held responsible for his role in this shameful Croatian history.

If they were so upset with Serbia's request to extradite him, why then did they simply not ignore it? Why see the need to kick him out of the country in 24 hours?

He did not leave voluntarily. He was kicked out. What do you think now? They respect him more than Serbia?

I do not doubt that.

I think it is really interesting to see your blind hope in the US.

well let´s just see what future brings. I wouldn´t be surprised to see all those self-declared "freedom-fighters" and "heroes" seeking refuge in some remote parts of the world when the US let you down.

He also advised Interpol to "seriously" look into Serbia's arrest warrants for "Kosovo citizens"

Not the brightest spark are you mr Ceku - If Interpol really do look into those matters there will be very few 'so called' Kosovo citizens going anywhere at all!

I think some of chickens might be coming home to roost!

Roberto, saying that Kosovo is Serbia is not a slur. How do you see it as that? Perhaps reading something which is so abhorent to you in your mind is a slur but it's only a fact which res. 1244 states.

So, I suggest you talk to the UN and tell them to take back that slur (Res 1244) because it is so offensive to you.

'roberto' please spare us your platitudes. If anyone who has been guilty of 'ethnic slurs', it is you. Ever since you came on this site, your bitter comments towards Serbia and her people have been nothing short of racism. You called Rasim Ljajic a traitor and called on the ethnic Hungarians and other nationalities to boycott Serbian institutions and secede from Belgrade.

and then you wonder why your comments are censored. Well it should give you a hint.

Imagine this scenario...Mladic, an alleged war criminal, is found in Colombia. What happens? He gets arrested and deported in order that he can be tried for his alleged crimes. Can we not show a little fairness with these things please? Lets start to demonstrate that the system is not biased, if that is possible. Lets hope it is possible.

It's very interesting to see how a war criminal thinks that he can escape justice! It's also interesting to see how only Serbians have been trialed and convicted in Hague. And it's also interesting to see how people appreciate and glorify the ones who killed their own kinds(to be clear:KLA).

Daniel

Not all Albanians, nor Serbs, are killers and to arrest an individual for Crimes that every objective person knows he is guilty of does not malign a nation
