The fact that Colombia has dismissed Mr Ceku and has not arrested him, shows clearly that Colombia does not respect the Serbian request to arrest him, addressed in Interpol. Colombia has recognized Kosovo and does therefore not see Agim Ceku as a Serbian citizen.
The fact that he was dismissed from the country explains Colombia's attempt, to avoid to land between the Kosovar-Serbian diplomatic front.

It was a smart geste of Colombia to avoid this trouble and still to pursue its political decision of having recognized Kosovo.

cheers!

In other words, stop trying to catch him. You're wasting your energy as he'll be free before you can say "got him!".

Why do you care if Serbia is wasting time and energy? Perhaps you are worried that soon enough he will be handed over or just plain caught by the Serbs?

BTW, one question to all you Albanians out there. Why do you constantly say Kosova when on your own passport it says KosovO?

The last sentence of the article is all you need to know.

Ceku has been arrested twice already and both times released.

In other words, stop trying to catch him. You're wasting your energy as he'll be free before you can say "got him!".

Pajazati made the call in a letter to Interpol, after the arrest of former Kosovo Prime Minister Agim Ceku in Colombia on the basis of an arrest warrant issued by the Serbian authorities.

Thsi is not true. Mr. Ceku was never arrested ,but he was notified by Colombian authorities regarding the situation at hand but again, He was never detained in any way.

"Kosovo’s Interior Minister Zenun Pajaziti has called on Interpol to dismiss Belgrade’s applications for the extradition of its citizens."

Citizens of a province? Strange...

It is so funny to see how Kosovo desperately tries to behave like a state. Which it is not. As we all know!

To all: get a life please!

For whom is this situation the most embarassing? For Ceku and Kosovo for which 2 countries have detained him out of the many he has traveled to, or to Serbia who has yet to find a country to take seriously enough to extradite him to Serbia. Sounds to me like the world is saying the Serbian legal and justice system is not something to take seriously.
