Rehn: EU to include Balkans

Serbia should cancel what ever Europeans plans it has and focus on keeping it's territories intact. Joining the EU will mean that we will loose our identity and territory. No borders means an invasion of unemploeyd and poor Albanians. Today they want to take Kosovo, tomorrow the rest of Serbia.
We can and will live good lives even without joining the EU.

We don't need a united european army, nor the lies, corruption, double standards, tyranny and political problems.

Unlike you, i can more than assure you that when the u.s falls and russia takes over, serbia will more than definitely be on russias side.

The only reason the EU and the rest even care about kosovo is because they need a place to setup defense systems against russia, a place which can be bombed and attacked and not be much of a bother to the rest of 'europe'

The eu is duping both the serbs and the albanians alike, only smart thing they've done is used our prejudices and arrogance to pit us against each other. In the end, EU doesn't care about the serbs or the albanians, it cares about becoming the next world power, taking over from the US.

It's not a matter of if the US will fall, it's a matter of when...

Sorry Ina but that is the truth. Don't want to come out as racist or anything but enough is enough. Serbia allowed hundreds of thousands Albanians to enter Kosovo from Albania during Enver Hoxha. Also after WW2 we left the Albanians alone even though they collaborated with the Nazis. The Kosovo Albanians thank us by trying to steal our territory, burn our churches and kill our people. Perhaps we will loose Kosovo but we should learn from that lesson and make sure it NEVER happens again. Kosovo is poor and overpopulated. According to experts it's not a viable state. Kosovo is Europes Mexico. High birthrates and full of crime, drugs and family feuds. If it was up to me I would build an Israeli like wall around it.

Only a Eu commissioner in this time can say these things..
In all Europe people are fed up with "enlargement" and no politician can even touch the SUBJECT...and also for the Visa it's a forbidden argument see for the case the european summit in Praga .. most of EU pm's have given excuses to remain home because nobody in this moment want to openly talk of Enlargement,Visa,and so on..

At least Russian didn't bomb us back to the stoneage! EU bomb our hospitals, markets, bridges etc etc. Russia is not trying to take 12% of our territory!
Your country has sold its sould to EU/America but hopefully Serbia won't. You have to remember one thing. The EU won't let you in unless it can profit from you in some way. You think they are letting you join so they can help you? Believe me, one way or the other, they are the winners in the end.
Serbia is already in the middle of Europe. We don't have to join anything and let someone else dictate to us what to say and what to do.

God save us European Union Membership.
We already have a hard time dealing with our internal affairs without some big European Country sticking their nose in our business. If we join we might as well just dismiss our president, parliament and let the Germany run our country. True, some things would run more efficiently but how do you explain to poor farmer that he can no longer butcher his own pigs in the fall or brew his own plum brandy (sljivo) unless he meets “ISO whatever the number” standards?.

Anyway, I believe that Serbia should not focus on European Union as some sort of saving grace. Things will get little better but not as much as people hope. Our politicians should focus on brining our economy and international relations to the point where we can have good relationship with European Union but are not dependent on them.
I know, I know, this is wishful thinking that would require radical change not just in our politicians but our nation as well. As someone who works outside of Serbia and visits the country regularly I can tell you that no one works less and has more than Serbs. People are being people and would like to have more. Now, if they could only have it without working hard for it………………..
Alas, I regress. Perhaps EU membership would after al l be better for Serbia.

Russia brought communism to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and destroyed the economies of these countries.

The EU is the only organization capable of helping Serbia to achieve economic prosperity.

My country, Romania, is a member state of the EU and I am proud to be an EU citizen.

Open the books on history 101 ,and you'll find out that Albanians are the oldest people in Europe. Albanian language is way older than the old greek language (not the new one that they use nowadays).

If we join we might as well just dismiss our president, parliament and let the Germany run our country.
