Rakija is how Serbs call the drink.
Albanians call it Raki or Rakia.
Turks called it something like Rake while in the Middle East they call it Arack.

The world does not revolve around Serbia sweetie :-)

As for the armchair thing, yes there are plenty of Albanian posters here that do the same. Can't argue with you there.

If you've read any of my non-Rakia posts here before (I doubt it, but who knows), I don't normally give authoritative suggestions on what my country (Albania) or Serbia or any others should or should not do. That would be stupid, especially since I live in the U.S now.

The good thing about their issue is that Croatia won't back down and Slovenia won't let them into EU.
Serbs from Serbia are the only ones to blame for the Kosovo issue, you wanted Tadic and Tadic is going to sell Kosovo.

The Slovenes are good businessmen but not big on any kind of brotherly warmth for anybody( whether Serbs,Albanians or Croats).I implore my Serbian friends to understand that business is business and do not be childish and confuse the fact that it is mutually advantageous for Serbia to trade with anybody on this planet regardless of the politics. The fact that Slovenia was the first to call for the dissolution of the Yugoslav state makes it understandable why they must now support the UDI of the Kosovo Albanians. No personal animosity need exist between the average Serb and Slovene but at the same time no delusional expectation of brotherly love either.I am sure that Serbs are smart enough to engage in business dealings with Slovenes without allowing themselves to be swindled.

RE: Slovenian ICJ Opinion

Serbia and Slovenia have a strong economic trading climate and this should not be jeopardized.

EU Leader Javier Solana has Slovenia in his back pocket and is not about to let them go and thus the Slovenian government is submitting an ICJ opinion over Kosovo.

Justice needs to be served over the blatant murder of young JNA recruits of Serb, Croatian, Slovenian, descent who were murdered in Slovenia trying to secure the Yugoslav borders in 1991. The JNA officers were under direct orders from General Kadijevic and Vice President Ante Markovic of the SFRY not to fire against the civilians and paid with their lives from the so called "Slovenian Freedom Fighters”.

Former President Milan Kucman is dead but many of the current leadership should be held accountable for the breaking of the Geneva conventions and the slaughter of young JNA recruits.

As for Serbian market, during the Tito era Gorenje had a monopoly so it did sell a lot of staff and lot of it that was sub standard or rather pricey. Now the choice is imense so why buy Gorenje? Not only Slovenia but also Croatia are setting up big time in Serbia and Belgrade. They have some fairly large stores and many produce plus manufactured goods selling here so they realise the Serbian market is crucial to their own well being.

The problem being that Tadic and co are not using this leverage to our advantage. He allows them to benefit from Serbia while they sit there spitting at us. What a shame.

Kozjak,

I understand what you mean, but don’t put much hope in Tadic since he is not going to be loud and clear when it comes to relations with Slovenia but rather voiceless and invisible. These days Tadic is very busy by promoting his own political party describing it as an engine of Serbia. That is what his role is at the moment as president and it seems that is all he can manage to do, to promote his own party which is, in my opinion, pure failure and disgrace.

As for this ICJ opinion I still think it is kind of ridiculous process since final decision is non-binding to anyone. There would be more success had Serbia filed lawsuit against each country (that recognised our province of Kosovo and Metohija) individually before the IC of justice.
The final decision in this case would be binding unlike some advisory opinion.

Now, since it turned out that nothing good can come out from our government in Belgrade when it comes to relations with the countries that recognised Kosovo and Metohija, Serbian citizens are the only hope for national survival and dignity. Simple and extremely cheap method is to boycott everything Slovenian in Serbia, and not only Slovenian but all the goods coming from the countries that recognised K&Metohija.

Slovenia does not believe that her support for Kosovo independence will harm relations with Serbia, said Balažic, stating that Slovenia was eager for good relations with Serbia and was helping Belgrade on its path to Euro-Atlantic integration.

Slovenia is right in thinking that it will not harm relations with Serbia. Serbia has already demonstrated that they will always ask for one more kick in the gut and will never get angry at the prospect of getting kicked in the gut.

If it was up to me I would tell those back stabbing Slovenes to shove their "friendship" and their lies.

- I guess the Slovenes said much the same about Croatia and the dispute it has over territorial waters and access to its only port! But the egg looks well and truly on the face of the Slovenes with that regard.

Now its upto Tadic to now add his view that actually Slovenia's constant underiding of Serbia's UN recognised soverign territory clearly results in the opposite way Slovenia intends it and Slovenia had better change course if it truly does not want to " harm Slovenian-Serbian relations" completly!

Tadic now must be loud and clear with the Slovenes and their irresponsible and reckless actions on Slovene-Serbian relations (no doubt egged on by US) and they are now close to breaking point!

Here we go again. Buy German products-- which by the way recognized Kossova -- and boycot Slovenian products -- which also recognized Kossova's independence. How childish!
