Excuse me if I don't add my voice to those that think that Serbian citizens should have the right to travel around Europe as other EU member citizens can...

The 'sacrifice' that Serbia made does not concern Kosovo in this case. In fact it concerns Serbia being forced to accept forced repatriations of Roma from EU countries - some of whom arrived in special night flights laid on by JAT.

Then there has been supposed progress with fufilling criteria to ensure that Serbs will not try to pull a fast one and to stay in the 'luxurious' EU.

I personally am free to travel around the EU. I'll be happy, not sad, when other citizens of Serbia have that same right.

Carrot-and-Stick.

Sadly, Serbia has several asinine politicians who will oblige.

Hungary seem to be simply fed up with the visa-circus and will scrap them regardless, what the rest of EU does.

The official translation is obviously incorrect. From the context this is obviously not "within a year" but "by the end of the year".

Next step would be recognizing ID-s in lieu of passport; would save passport fees and hassle.

Of course the powers that dictate European Commission policy will insist that Belgrade relinquish sovereignty over Kosovo i Metohija in order to get this pathetic visa deal.
