Yes, but it only takes one country to ruin one's EU aspirations. Maybe Cyprus and Slovakia will draw straws to see which state will be the one. Who knows? Maybe Romania will be the spoiler.

Serbia is moving much slower towards the EU than her neighbours. Croatia and Macedonia are EU candidate states. Montenegro and Albania have submitted their application for EU membership.

Serbia is now left in the same group with Bosnia and Kosovo which are international protectorates.
