'Decentralization'(sic) is a big word.
Decentralisation doesn't work, primarily because politicians don't want it to work.
In my country, it was often mentioned but never implemented. All politicians aspire to Central Government.

Decentralisation is being used by corrupt Western politicians operating in Kosovo i Metohija. They are using it as a sweetener to Serbs in the province so as to make the Serb population think that they will be able to run their own affairs.
It's a big lie.

My hometown of Svilajnac has formally declared independence from Serbia. We have about 40.000 people and no more serb opression even though we are serbs as well.
We will survive on our pig farms and let the US build a military base in the middle of the town.
Long live the free and independent Republic of Svilajnac!

I don't mind this kind of party. Economic decentralization is something I support. I think the DSS once sent a proposal to divide the Central Serbian province into 4 which I support. Sumadija being one of them, with the capital being Kragujevac. Then you would have Podunavlje which the capital would be Nis, followed by Podrinje which the capital would be Uzice. And then of course you would have Belgrade City region as its own entity.

Those 4 province's plus Vojvodina and Kosovo would have Serbia much more decentralized economically without giving autonomy and more power to one province over another. I would also support Vojvodina being decentralized into 3-4 provinces as well.

Yet another international attempt to "divide and conquer" Serbia. Do the Serbs even remember "Samo Sloga Srbina Spasava"???? Wake up Serbs!!!!!!!

This isn't a new party it's basically a previous party taking on a new form.

There used to be a party called LEague for Sumadija. The most votes they ever obtained was 300 in the late 90s but they were included in the DOS coalition and had 1 seat in palriament from 2000-2003.

They since then disbanded, they were part of some coalition that garnered 3% or so and couldn't enter parliament.

An interesting thing is that unlike most parties, this one actually had things like a map and relatgively comprehensive proposal for it's regionalization.

I don't think this party will have any impact nationally. May be at a local level it could have success. Like the regional movement Pokret za Krajinu has had in the Timok region.
