The minister added that he would be using his address to the official plenary to present Belgrade’s candidacy for holding the Non-Aligned Movement’s conference in 2011 in what will be the 50th anniversary of organization’s inception.

A fitting occasion to mark Comrade Tito's legacy. While Serbia is holding the lead and directing peaceful intercultural, political and economic dialogue & coperation between herself and the developng world, Albania and Croatia, two of Uncle Sam's latest lapdogs will be sending troops to reign misery, death and destruction on the unfortunate people of Afghanistan and Pakistan and God knows where else.

The contrast could not be clearer.

Today I watched a documentary about Serbia and Kosovo. Guess what is Jeremic doing when he visits the Arab countries, like Libja or Egypt. He says that his roots are also muslim, because his mother is Bosnian muslim. But when he goes to Vatican he says over there, Look what Albanian muslim extremists doing to Christian people in Kosovo. The host said, is that a politic, how Serbia is running to get other countries not to recognize Kosovo.

Everyone knows that Albanians were never phychologically or in any way with Serbia. You guys have been trying to cleanse Kosovo of Serbs for decades now and you can come here and make a statement like you just did?
Will you not stop blaming Serbia for every action you take?
Jeremic is not the one who is making you guys distance yourselves from Serbia. You have always been that way. Just tell the truth for a change.
(Peggy, 1 May 2009 01:06)

I completely agree. Kosovo has always been a disputed land for Serbia due to its inhabitants, ethnic conficts have always been presents and the K-Albanians have never ever felt any connection to Serbia whatsoever. Decades of war and conflicts proved that this was not the best solution.

Serbia on the other hand never really cared if K-Alb felt at home, until now that is.

Historically both sides have jumped to a chance to kill and cleanse each other.

That is precisely why the only peace in that area will be when two sides conduct their business separately.

The history of Yugoslavia these 2 decades has proved that there is too much hate between western ballkan nations for them to live together now.

This is a quote from radio serbia:***..."Speaking of the importance of the Non-Aligned Movement, Jeremic said that it is based on common values such as peace, sovereignty and equality on the global scene, which should lead towards new, more balanced international relations. Serbia represents the major successor of the SFRY that was one of the founders of the Non Aligned Movement, Jeremic reminded. He pointed that along with other leaders of the Movement, Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito endeavored to promote the respect for international law, thus helping numerous countries to become members of the international community. Underlining that the first summit of the non-aligned was held in Belgrade in 1961, Jeremic proposed that for the 50th anniversary of the Movement to be marked in Belgrade in 2011. Despite its wish to become an EU member stated, Serbia still shares values supported by the Non-Aligned Movement, emphasized Jeremic adding that Belgrade supports the goal of the Movement to have a more balanced global community built that will promote democracy in international relations and respect human rights. This requires reduction of economic disproportion, which is even more obvious in the context of the global economic crisis, Jeremic concluded."***>Please, can someone let Mr.Jeremic know that Tito is dead since May 1980,and he is not taking orders from Tito's YU but from Serbia, yes only tiny serbia is talking.Beside this Tito was not a serb he was an Croatian!!!Mr.Jeremic wake up and realize that you live in serbia without Tito?!And your YU ist dead just like Marshall Tito, get over it.

By trying to block Kosova's recognition you are pushing the Albanians psycologically further and further away from Serbia.
Trust me there will be never return to Serbia. More likely we will see the STRENGTHENING of Albanian factor in region.

Also albanians are coming here every day to write comments about how many countries are just waiting to recognize Kosovo and how Kosovo will join this and that and bla bla bla. Perhaps Serbia won't be able to join the EU before it signs its soul to the devil, but who cares? Serbia was under sanctions and was bombed for 78 days and survived. We will survive a "no" from the EU. However, will Kosovo survive when no more wellfare money is being put aside for stillborn Kosovo? Will Kosovo manage a future in the shadow? Kosovo could always join Albania and become as poor and corrupt as that place. But, at least you have NATO. That way you will get to travel when the americans buy you one way tickets to Afganistan and Irak.

Kosovo is a pseudo-state and not a member of the UN. There is no chance that it will get membership in the IMF. Quit deluding yourselves. The only reason Kosovo exists as a pseudo-state is stubborn, stupid american pride. The day that the us quits the "Serbia must not win anything" foreign policy is the real day of victory for the entire Balkans. Of course, that would mean that the us must admit that it was wrong for promoting the break-up of Yugoslavia. Keep adding up! Where? When?
Have I been frozen in time for the last year? 56 countries have recognized so far (a majority under pressure). The number of countries that can be baught or pressured into submission is getting smaller. Also due to Americas failing economy I don't think they have any more money to pay corrupt countries to recognize Americas 51st state. Gustave you and all other albanians are just fooling yourself. However, it's not against the law to be a fool and unrealistic.

I don't expect any healthy minded Serbian...

So, serbs who don't want to give up their own territory, their homes and their holy land are not healthy? When are you and all other albanians goint to realize that Kosovo is part of Serbia and that Serbia will never give it up? You have to realize that all over Kosovo there are Serbian churches, monasteries and other landmarks that justifies Serbias exclusive right to this territory. This battle for recognitions is really just a side show. Since we hear from our Southern Serbian citizens on a daily basis the need for Serbian recognition of Kosovo, that really is the only time Kosovo will ever become independent. However it should be clear that Serbia cannot and will never do such a thing no matter what condition is placed upon us. Nothing is worth exchanging a part of our heart and soul so it is far better to continue negotiations on the basis of more than autonomy, less than independence.

It should be clear that Kosovo will never become independent and the frustration of those in Pristina is becoming ever more evident with the power cuts to Serbians and further provocations where their proxy army and police forces copntinue to create an unstable province. Our Southern citizens (mainly of Albanian ethnicity) really are the most privileged minority in the world and they should start acting a bit more responsibly instead of constantly provoking other ethnic groups in the province. Negotiations are the only path to prolonged peace and prosperity so it's time to grow up.

Drimo-Odogo

Jeremic is looking for the final payoff with Albanians. This is very dangerous, since you won't clear Kosovo of Albanians, instead they get more radical and get encouraged in their view Serbs are a permanent danger. Milosevic once lost this "we or them"-game, Jeremic is asking for revenge.

Kosovo could always join Albania and become as poor and corrupt as that place. But, at least you have NATO. That way you will get to travel when the americans buy you one way tickets to Afganistan and Irak.

"...he added that the Serbian delegation was continuing its activities to prevent any further recognitions"

By trying to block Kosova's recognition you are pushing the Albanians psycologically further and further away from Serbia.
Trust me there will be never return to Serbia. More likely we will see the STRENGTHENING of Albanian factor in region.

"Then you are quite the failure given the recognitions keep adding up.
(Gustave, 30 April 2009 11:18)"

They only add up to 30% of UN members. Only 5 have recognised in 2009.

In Feb 2008 the k-Albs here were predicting 100 countries by the end of 2008 and they barely got half of that.

hmm

Now I am very sure that more recognitions are on the way. Every time FM Jeremic said something like this , Kosova got recognized from one country or more. I think by the end of summer recognition will be very big in numbers. I wonder if VUK will resign due to his failed predictions and talking to soon for things that he cannot control.
(Kosova-USA, 30 April 2009 16:02)

hmmm how ironic that an albanian says that. Wasnt it just a few months ago when Taci saying that Serbia, Russia and Spain would recognize very soon??

Everyone knows that Albanians were never phychologically or in any way with Serbia. You guys have been trying to cleanse Kosovo of Serbs for decades now and you can come here and make a statement like you just did?
Will you not stop blaming Serbia for every action you take?
Jeremic is not the one who is making you guys distance yourselves from Serbia. You have always been that way. Just tell the truth for a change.

The history of Yugoslavia these 2 decades has proved that there is too much hate between western ballkan nations for them to live together now.

Denis, I trust that you have never heard of the famous phrase, "Divide & Conquer".

Your western Imperial masters have it perfectd to a science. Just ask the Brits.
