To Prishtina calling,
Get it to your head mate, Serbia will NEVER and I mean NEVER recognize your thievery of our land also known as independence. Full stop.
And to Alban,
You are such indocrinated mind mate, you shouldnt read your literature so selectivly.
When you Albanians first repay the war damage that your fascist "Skenderbeg" division created during the second world war than we can start thinking about it.

"Yes, no one wants war- and Serbia certainly DID NOT lead a war with the Croatians, Bosnian Muslims, or the Albanians. Serbia has never had imperialistic aims as some of the Western "friends" have had- but we certainly have been played as "pawns" "

So when the JNA shelled and attacked Vukovar, that was just you guys having fun huh, or when the historical city of dubrovnik was attacked that was just for fun too, the destruction of dozens of churches in croatia, that wasnt your fault either.... hmmmm

croatia is welcoming back krajina serbs and even set aside funds for them to rebuild yet i havent seen an apology or a single cent from serbia about the war that did nothing but get innocent people killed.

This could be a sign of new elections.

This government is extremely fragile. Having a majority of just 2 seats or so and having to give in to the demands of small parties who without coalitions wouldn't get into parliament.

Not only that but government partners only keep it a float when the government helps them -- thecase where the budget revision passed because while 150 million euros was taken out of municipal budgets in central serbia, 65 million went to Vojvodina to get 9 votes form LSV and Hungarians. This is the latest in many such cases.

Recently polls were released showing that combined DS and Nikolic's SNS would probably receive over 60%+ of the seats in parliament were held. This means that the SNS is a viable force. It also means that as the SNS is not the radicals a govenrment could become easier to form as DS would no longer have to form coalition with parties like G-17+ and SPO who have less then 2% support but are in the end over represented.

Not only that but in such a parliament the polls indicate it would become more easier for constitutional changes to occur.

Also, note Tadic is critical of the current situation where 15 parties entered parliament.

Concerning constitutional changes it's simple:
- Maintain the Kosovo clause.
- Provide for regional governments, have their powers constiutionally defined (not this lunacy where extra-constituional statutes need to be passed).
- There should be no autonomous region, they should all have the same level of powers.
- Have 3 regions in Vojvodina, 1 in Beograd, 5 in Central Serbia.
- The regions should have less power then the current Vojvodina and municipalities should have more power then they currently do.
- The parliament should have a lower house of 1 seat per 65,000 registered voters (this would give 104 seats), an upper house consisting of 3 seats per region with Beograd having only 1 seat (this would be 25 seats).
- All references to extra-constitutional laws defining roles of the constiution should be removed [i.e. Vojvodina statute]

B.Tadic is still under ilusion that Eulex is not for the purpose to implement M.Ahtiisari plan, but the fact is, KiM is independent.

Any changes to the constitution must be fully explained to your people. Even then I would think twice about trusting Tadic with any amendements to the constitution.
In times of political turmoil, the last thing you need is to make such changes.
Concentrate on the most important issue first.

"One thing is certain: a democratic Serbia will never lead another war, never endanger its citizens or other citizens of the region. We want the best possible relations with the Albanians, despite all the traumas of the past. Only with this kind of policy can we be important regional actors,”

Tadic is saying everything that the US and EU want him to say, sounding more like a puppet than a leader. Yes, no one wants war- and Serbia certainly DID NOT lead a war with the Croatians, Bosnian Muslims, or the Albanians. Serbia has never had imperialistic aims as some of the Western "friends" have had- but we certainly have been played as "pawns" . And now we're being told that Serbia must NEVER go to war- not even if others want to totally take away our sovereigny, history, or our dignity! For Tadic, or any president of a country, to say that they would never go to war (for any reason) simply informs others that they can do whatever they want to your country with no repercussions. Then Serbia doesn't need a real army- just a "ceremonial army". I am so tired of the good Serbian people, with a proud history in global society, constantly being provoked and accused of being "the aggressors". And until Serbs collectively say STOP-ENOUGH IS ENOUGH....we will never have peace in our corner of the world.

I would hope that Tadic had a little more to say about possible alternatives to the current electoral system.
Like this he is making only the right noises and, as usual, is not comitting himself to anything.

Is he proposing increased regional powers such as parliament of sumadija?

Yes I know its the president's privalige to dream aloud and generalise but it would nice if this president would tie his flag to a mast upon occasion.
Unfortunately Tadic wants to remain popular so he won't ever risk comitting himself.

I actually believe that even if some don't like your opinion they will learn to respect it if you are principled about it.

Pristina Calling

Nice move Mr Tadic.

I especially like:
"“One thing is certain: a democratic Serbia will never lead another war, never endanger its citizens or other citizens of the region. We want the best possible relations with the Albanians, despite all the traumas of the past. Only with this kind of policy can we be important regional actors,” he said."

--other citizens of the region!!!!!! GOOD!

SERBIA RECOGNIZES KOSOVO!!!!!

This is how we will get into the EU, together in peace.

Start apologizing about the "traumas", pay reparations and recognize. As far as being a leader? You aren't. NATO and EU rules the Balkans, you aren't in neither of them.

The constitution includes a paragraph about Kosova: you can't get in EU or even start negotiations with that in it.
