This is great news from the EU -- kosovo/a needs to work to meet standards
(roberto, 29 April 2009 21:27)

Roberto

First time we agree Roberto.

Yes, do meet the standards and do allow the Serb refugees to come back to their homes. If Serbs are not allowed to come back to their own homes how can we expcet any other refugees to be welcome there.

As for myself I have absolutely no objection (neither to visa-free travel of Kosovars, nor for having more normal people from Ethiopia or Afghanistan around). But if anyone does meet these EU politicians, tell them, who they are.

Recommend (+17) Poor comment (-42)

I understand, some are strongly objecting to receive refugees. But remember: not long ago you were the refugees. "-42" is the proof, some unholy ghosts is still alive.
Indeed, a certain SS division did a perfect job to cleanse Pristina from the Jews. What was the name of it?

Roberto,

Apparently Kosov@ needs quite a bit of work, see above. Barely did they forgot, how many of them did flee during the civil war, such a vehement "NO" to accept and help other refugees is pretty shocking and sickening. There is quite a bit of anti-semitism in Hungary lately, but I am glad, I did not hear a single voice against refugees who are assigned to the country. Unlike in Germany.

if any outsiders try to interfere with this progress, then the EU needs to deal with that.
(roberto, 29 April 2009 21:27)

That is as you see not that simple. They want visa-free travel, but zero contribution to the refugee issue. That won't please EU mildly speaking.

This is great news from the EU -- kosovo/a needs to work to meet standards, and them receive the appropriate (visa)perks. now, like any other country in the balkans.

i will not give as a done deal that in 2010 Eu will completely open his door as many politicians in WB are saying right now..
The second six months of this year may give the guidline but here inside EU no one is taking a defenitive stance on the argument maybe because public opinions are firmly against...

“Kosovo, like the other countries, needs to meet the conditions set for all the Balkan countries,” Barrot told a news conference

Can someone inform this guy that Kosovo is a PROVINCE, not a state?

Thanks in advance!

If relevant, you can see Mr. Zenun Pajaziti- Kosovo Interior Minister in the photo. Seems like no one can stop particiaption of Kosovo state institutions attending European conferences.

“Kosovo, like the other countries, needs to meet the conditions set for all the Balkan countries,”

These conditions will be most likely to actively participate in "distribution" of refugees from pariah countries (Afghanistan, Iraq, sub-saharan Africa). So the hillbillies who march with "Asylanten Raus" transparent in Germany or Austria will be happy.
