It doesn't really take a rocket science to figure out that the entire political and financial system is set to benefit a few. Now, Serbs, I heard Dodik has spent thousands of dollars on ashtrays in his new government building in Banja Luka. You must really feel proud of your leader spending almost a $1,000 on an ashtray while you are starving. I encourage you to elect the guy again. he is obviously a genious! Now, Bosniaks, I recently visited Sarajevo and noticed too many mosques in the city. I have nothing against the mosques but when the number of religious facilities outnumbers the number of schools, you have to start wondering if there is something wrong with that picture. As for Croats, I wish you can join Croatia, but when you talk to Croats from Croatia, they don't want you! Just as Serbs from Serbia don't want RS. I have one message for Serbs, Bosniaks, and Croats; Long Live Tito!. I wish guy lived 300 years. He kept mentally challenged politicians in check. Too bad they got out!

@Jerko, You are absolutely right about Serbs and Croats being the people on the land before Islam was imposed there. We should find a way to sort our problems in a civilized way and fix this mistake called Bosnia once and for all.
The problem lies with the west. They will not allow us to make our own decisions if it goes against their new world order. For now Bosniaks are useful to them and they will defend their creation but they cannot defy the will of the people forever. Time will come when they will have to pack up and go home and leave us to sort our own problems out.
You cannot force people to be ruled by a Muslim government when Islam not the religion of most there.

Roberto, I would just love to know why you find it necessary to always make the Serbs the bad guys in every conversation.
Serbs from Serbia are bad, Serbs from Croatia are bad and Serbs from Bosnia are bad. Looks like you have a huge problem with Serbs and none of it even concerns a Polish Jew like yourself.

B-H was a bad idea from the beginning, maybe RS and the hercegovina could have a republic together, historically our people have been here since 7th century, but the bosnians are the creation of the invasions by the ottoman turks, thats what angers a lot of croatians and serbs in bosnia. They terrorized our countries for 500 years and now they have there own state at our cost. Serbs/croats hate eachother mostly over the days to celebrate easter and christmas and its ridiculous. But we can agree we dont want the next al qaeda jump starting in bosnia which we know is there already.

Does Ms. Pack realize that when she says initatives are not passed because of the RS...she is actually speaking about a constituency? In espousing 'Democracy' they are upset that they cannot shove laws and protocols down the throughts of the population. Let the people speak for themselves and rule themselves, and stop trying to create puppet states and imposing points that have not the right buy in or structure to be good for the whole of the population.

Simply will stir more alienation, and revolt.

The problem is in the Federation and its inability to control its finances. The civil service is overloaded with bureaucrats and hangers on mainly poorly educated family members. The only way to unite this country is a federal state. This is because no ethnic group(the people of Bosnia are ethnic caucasians)!. is willing to be marginalised by another religeous people. There's the rub relgion. I was in Sarajevo in February and it clearly is not the capital city for Bosnia's Croats or Serbs. Where are they, where have they disappeared to?.The Eu's multi-ethnic dream does not live in this city.

Poor Pack, this democracy thing is a real pain in the backside. If only she could go back to the good old days when Austrians and Germans could do what they wanted in their Bosnian back garden. Still even in those days no matter what you tried, those Serbian weeds just keep coming back.

dear doris -- AMEN! you are so right. you echo my words, and vis versa.

the thing is, we have to not just discuss it like some parlour game, but DO something about it. the new OHR may not be able to do the work of the bosnian politicians, but if they are determined to block a normal functioning state (as they are) they gotta go, pronto, and the OHR does have the power to remove them -- it's been done before.

we have to stand up against the nationalists/criminals, not just of the RS but throughout bosnia.

the eu can make a difference and needs to it NOW!

thank you.

Typical of hypocritical EU.
First put your signature on something then take it back.
RS is a reality and you cannot now make it disappear.
If everyone in former Yugoslavia had a right to secede, why don't the Serbs have that right too?
RS get out of that unholy alliance and join Serbia where you belong. Croats can take their little bit and join Croatia and everyone except the the Bosniaks will be happy. Bosniaks would be happy if they abandoned their dream of dominating the other two sides.
Why give the right to K-Albanians to secede from Serbia, Croats, Slovenians etc to secede from Yugoslavia but Serbs must be kept under someone else's rule?
Doris, go home. You are talking double standards here and it's so obvious.

As Head of the EP's Delegation to the South West Balkan region, I feel it is time for DORRIS to PACK her bags and go back to Germany.
Her unending anti-serb stances make her position untenable, I believe.

Well, if 2 of 3 don't want this state simply dissolve it.

Croations can join Croatia. RS can join Serbia.

We’re just waiting for the ICJ to rule on when it’s appropriate for an autonomous region like RS or Kosovo to declare independence. If Kosovo is allowed to declare independence over the crimes committed before NATO stepped in (2000 deaths) then surely RS has a rock solid case for independence as a result of the massive genocide committed in WWII.

Bosnia is not doing that bad. But, the people who this reports are are pre-emptively biased against serbs... for example, this western official says "bosnia", not "bosnia and herzegovina". Their goal is to impose some unity that is against the will of the people, and it starts by calling the place bosnia instead of bih. They have no desire to keep dayton, they want to move beyond that. Well hard luck, the serbs will not surrender their rights like the Croatians have in BiH. We want our rights back, for they have undemocratically been taken away. And look people, there is no reason why the country could not function this way... it could function, but these people want to make it seem like there is no alternative to eliminating R.S. There bloody well is an alternative, and yes, a BiH can exist with R.S. The point is that they do not want that.

AA

She is right, BIH is not a functioning state. Time to call the divorse lawyer and have RS cut the BIH loose....they are just dead weight.
