Oric is a criminal is a criminal. He was acquitted in a shameful miscarriage of justice by the Hague. A crime against a serb, is no different from a crime committed against a muslim Bosnian or croat. When we realise these truths we will close the gap on our mistrust of each other and admit that all our so called wartime leaders were quilty of splitting us down ethnic lines into medival barbarity.I will watch this prosecution with interest.

Matt, according to the judgment, the Serb prosecutor failed to prove that Oric had committed crimes. Crimes were committed, there is no doubt, and under Oric's orders, without doubt, but this has to be proven and according to the judgment THE PROOF WAS NOT SUFFICIENT.

What more to add?

“ie Bosnian justice has a better chance of success than the supposed 'fair' justice of the west....”

I wouldn’t be too sure of that bganon. It sounds like the local prosecution in Bijelina (Republic of Srpska) filed the charges, but for political reason it was transferred to the State level where Oric will likely have supporters.

Oric’s acquittal was one of the more shameful rulings coming out of the Hague.

Am I understanding this properly because if so its absurd.
The Hague essentially aquits Oric and company of war crimes and now the Bosnian courts will try him on similar charges.
