It should be made possible for Mexico to join the EU and adopt the euro. Otherwise, these things will keep happening.

Ever been in Tijuana or Ciudad Juarez?

This is unfortunately not like French Guiana. A bit bigger, large areas well under level of Moldova, transparency well under level of Albania or KiM, public safety well under level of K. Mitrovica.

We rather take all BiH-KiM-AL-SRB-MK-CG tomorrow.

You can't even take a taxi in Mexico City without facing a real danger of being robbed and killed. You have to tell your wish to the hotel - they will call the taxi. Apropos, hotel. You should of course use the ones of a well-known chain, with astronomic prices.

We did consider to visit MX before moving back to Europe. After little research we decided to pass on it. Compare: I had no fear to drive in the Raska-Pristina-Pec-KMitorvica-Raska "triangle", partly during the darkness in a car featuring USA license plates...

You had a very-very expensive idea. Imagine, EU/NATO would need a 100xKFOR and 1000xEULEX to sustain in the Mexican druglord areas. And you would pay for it.

where swine live in close proximity to people - a place like 'brussels' for instance.

I rarely give a "positive" and almost never a "negative" - but here I should make an exception. Super! You made me laugh that I got tears.

Mircea:
Leaving aside the issue of geography, what makes you think that an outbreak of this nature couldn't happen in the EU?

All you really need is a situation where swine live in close proximity to people - a place like 'brussels' for instance.
