bganon, I have a strange feeling, in this world there are some spirits floating in the air who probably can't even read English or understand of the concept of "VAT" or "Sales Tax" - all they know is who is "X" versus "Y". No matter what they say, "X" will get from trolling spirits a "positive", "Y" a negative. I feel like observing a kindergarten.

At least, I desire to see them saying somewhat meaningful here...

Increase VAT?

A healthy sales tax is under 10%.
Some States in USA even forego VAT / "Sales Tax" - it is 0% in Oregon, Montana, Delaware, New Hampshire.

Many States have sales tax under 5%.

The European "VAT" rates are pure insanity.

NO to a VAT rise following agreement with the IMF. Its the Serbian people who have to agree to that kind of change because they are the ones paying for it.

Find another method of raising the extra cash - mainly from the pockets of politicians and government. God knows they rip off the people enough.

Besides, as demand collapses and unemployment goes up (and the currency is steady) the correct economic measure is to REDUCE VAT.
