In Kosovo whether you're Albanian or non-Albanian as long as you consume electricity you are obligated to pay electric bills just like anywhere else in the world.

Correct me if I am wrong:
1000 RSD == 10.66 Euro
That will buy a lot!!!!

You could buy quite a lot with 10.66 euros, i.e.:

54 candles
54 signed Jeremic posters
22 signed Tadic posters
1 unsigned Nikolic poster
2 Serbian flags
5 Russian flags
20 USA flags (non fire proof)
and much more...

What if they(K-serbs) move to Serbia and they don't pay for electricity?, or what if they move back to their mother Russia?. Does Russia or any other country have any company who provides electricity for free?.

Wake up people and pay the bills if you want electricity, if I were KEK I would've dealt with this issue 10 yrs ago, right after Kosova was liberated.
They never even thanked KEK for receiving free electricity for already 10 years.
NO PAIN NO GAME.

How come B92 is not reporting the sentencing of 4 serb policemen who killed 50 members of the Berisha family. They were mostly women and children ranging from 1- 100 yrs old.
Hmmmm. Biased???

"For years albans did not pay for anything, now they want money?"

Did you not read the article? KEK cut off electricity to those who didn't pay in both Serb AND Albanian villages.

And you know this…how??
Ratko, why does everything have to be political?
It is simple, electricity cost and you have to pay it.
You are saying the Serbs do not need to pay 1 Dinar (though the Kosovo currency is Euro) to UCK government,
However it is ok from your side to get free goods from the UCK government then, isn’t it?

"I have an idea. Get someone who has intelligence to run the power company. Make it
private not government and don't play politics with an essential service."

This is a great idea, one that the government and KEK management are trying to implement. But how can they find a buyer for a company that can't collect for its services? Their collectors have been physically threatened when trying to collect from customers or install individual meters, and no Western company is going to invest in a power company that has to use a security service to collect what it's owed, or give electricity away for free. It would be in K-Serbs interest to pay the bills to KEK now so that in a year or so they could deal with a Czech or Italian company. I'd think. Or maybe it's not the Kosovo government that's playing politics here?

I do not understand how can someone expect to get its electricity for free! KEK acts as a commercial company and pays its employees with the money of its customers while depends on the very same money to raise up its infrastrucuture for a better service in the future. It is a completely commercial deal and I do not believe that has anything to do with politics. Local Kosovars of the Serbian community should not complain in Serbia but pay their bills and stop complaining for being wrong themselves.

Any other solution but the obvious: PAY the bills!

Just to be clear. Are they saying that they will cut the electricity to a whole village where less than 30% have paid? Meaning that they are cutting off people who have paid?

Seems to me like it is the middle ages and they just don't have the proper infrastructure, will or ability to run a power company.

I have an idea. Get someone who has intelligence to run the power company. Make it private not government and don't play politics with an essential service. Don't make people sign up to laws of a country they don't recognise. Choose another neutral law for the contract.
