while they are cheering about Billary not having time to meet the serbian FM - they simply do not seem to get that this has nothing positive for them!

while the Taliban in Pakistan are coming nearer and nearer to Islamabad ( only some 200 km at the moment ) the US and especially their foreign ministry have other things to do, than to meet officials from european countries that do not pose a threat to the US.

well, my dear albanian kids, if the situation in Pakistan worsens further - it might be to your disadvantage.

if you do not realize that, I am fine with that.

neither in Iraq, nor in Afghanistan the developments are going the way the US would like to see it.

that means that sooner or later they will need not only help but also Russian and other cooperation.

that means that the Albanians will have to swallow a bitter pill, I guess.

kiss greater-albania goodbye, my dear friends.

as many times before in history, you´re coming too late.

Go with your head held high in the knowledge you represent a great people. Acorns turn into oaks, who knows the Americans might be more open to you than you expect. It's worth a try.

Doesn`t matter if Clinton doesn`t wanna talk to Jeremic,it only shows that they are deeply frustrated that their project has failed.
Now they will get the final punch at the ICJ.

PS Keep on dreaming about new sanctions guys,Russia and China are the new power centers in the world,we will sell every major company to the Russians to be as close as possible to them.
Then try sanctions,it will be:oopps no gas for Europe or oppps no US treasuries buying by Russia and China.
Thanks good for us the incompetence in person Bush came into power and messed up the US badly + 9/11 + Putin came out of nowhere to save Russia.
And these positive changes started in 1999,in the darkest hours of the Serbian nation.
What an irony!

Iam afraid Yuk Jeremic's visit to Washington, DC USA will do little good. The USA and NATO sold out Serbian Kosovo to the ethnic Albanians because of oil. A huge oil pipeline owed by a registered US company is to pump huge amounts of oil from Bulgaria through Albania through Kosovo to transport through Europe and to the USA.Will be operational by 2011. USA builds large air base in Kosovo to protect this huge oil pipeline. See the internet article: The Oil Factor in Kosovo Independence. Article written by Adbus Sattar Ghazali.

the refusal to meet jeremich by the US secretary of state is a cear signal tha US will not fully restore its relationship with Serbia unless it changes its attitude toward Kosova. US does not care about how long will it take for Serbia to adjust to the new political realities in the Westrn Balkans. good luck vuk

"...Jeremic will have the only option to meet Mrs Clinton bouncers"
Is that right? That's Haradinaj's new position? Congratulations! I knew the big things were in cards for him when I learned from some Albanian poster Haradinaj's IQ of 110!

@ all posters
According to a very reliable source, Mrs Clinton would not meet any Serbian or Republika Srpska citizen, regardless of their rank.
She is getting anxiety attacks even at mentioning of those nationals, ever since she had to run for cover between snipers bullets on that Bosnian airport.
But that was also when she learned to clench her teeth knowing that such war experience would qualify her for the duties of the Commander in Chief in the Oval Office.

Come on Alban, what type of investment do you think that will involve? We are talking about Albania spending money on French military equipment. Hardly something that country can afford considering its impoverished state. The benefits of NATO membership.... sure.... buying useless weaponry from NATO members. Soon Albania will have more debt than it can service but hey, you'll have a few shiny tanks to put on display. Good luck to you!

Alban

"Kiss EU and NATO goodbye, US and its partners control both. So much for a "new start.""

Unfortunately for you, Serbia will join the EU, together with the rest of the Western Balkans. The US a) does not control the EU and b) has good relations with Serbia, while the EU plans to incorporate the whole of the Western Balkans into the EU, and no Albanian will be able to stop that, no matter how much they want it to be otherwise, since it is Germany, Italy, France and the UK who decide, not Albanians, unfortunately.

I call on the Albanian leadership to remove the Veto and allow Jeremic to meet with higher USA officials--if the Serbian government asks for permission.

Obama will be telling Hillary that times have changed and that she should be a big girl and talk to people with a different view. He will ask what she has achieved by this insult other than to weaken a moderate government in Serbia and insult its people. He will ask her to work in the interests of the US and world security and not to preserve her man's project in a way that displays personal prejudice.

Her rebuttal is hardly consistent with Obama's new approach. No one is expecting a change of position but we did expect a change in the respect or lack of that has been shown by the US.

Mr Jeremic didn't go to America to convince the US to take back its recognition. EVERYTING IS NOT ABOUT KOSOVO. Life goes on, except for you it seems. Benny

I don't know why so many people are gloating that Jeremic is only seeing an under-secretary. That is a big post here, and most officials of smaller countries meet only with those officials unless something really important is happening.

Kosova govt needs to do more in its foreign policy as well. They should have the balls to sent their officials to Russia and China. I doubt Lavrov or Putin will meet them the first time either.

No reason to gloat, just better to concentrate and work on how to better your own state and hopefully perhaps these visits will ultimately lead to the normalization of the relationships between Serbia and Kosova as equal states sooner rather than later.

I do not want to single out anyone in particular, but you guys sound like small kids sometimes.

As long as you are cheering at every occasion what is considered a failure for Serbia: the situation in Kosovo will stay as it is.

I know, it is like to jump over your own shadow or pull yourself by your hair out of quicksand - but at least try to look at things from different angle.

HRC not meeting with Jeremic sends a clear message to Serbia: the current Dpt. of State is not Serbia's friend REGARDLESS do they give Russians a "reset button" or not. This is probably not what they want, but this is what they will achieve.

As with the "reset" button: a very amateurish move and makes me happy that I earn under $87200/year while overseas and thus I don't pay taxes to sustain these amateurs.

Also we all know the "substance" and "honesty" of HRC (see her Bosnian "adventure") and there is a clear reason, why she lost to Obama. If I would be Obama I would steer clear from Clintons regardless of Serbia. He made a mistake.

HRC's decision is very stupid from the point of view of America's interest because it will send Serbia clearly to the "opponent" side.

In any case, someone's value is not determined, is (s)he friend of Albanians or not. If you pet and feed regularly my youngest son's hamster, she will be friend of Albanians. But will be Ms. "Manóka" qualified to head the American foreign policy is a different question.

On the other hand... she certainly could cause less harm than Condi or Hillary.

Hardly something that country can afford considering its impoverished state. The benefits of NATO membership.... sure.... buying useless weaponry from NATO members. Soon Albania will have more debt than it can service but hey, you'll have a few shiny tanks to put on display. Good luck to you!

Why even bother to go when no one serious is meeting with him? The 'fake state' leaders met with Hillary Clinton, dozens of top senators and the VP, Biden himself. If you want to know what Biden thinks of the situation, google "Biden Dioguardi." Joe Dioguardi--a direct descendant of a Gjergj Kastrioti knight left in Italy to protect Naples--told then Senator Biden what would happen long before Slobodan acted.

Very humiliating for Serbia, meeting with third rate State department officials and powerless congressman. Meet with John Kerry, Jeremic! He is the Foreign Relations Committee chairman.

Hard luck jeremic. Got mad when Saudi Arabia recognized. Or perhaps, you forgot how you will discard the ICJ decision. Remember Bush Administration treated you way nicer.

Serbian authorities have mentioned many times that unimportant countries have recognized Kosovo, then why you are going to countries like US which is unimportant to you!!!
About 14 months ago you have fired their embassy in Belgrade, remember that they may ask you about investigations about that, perhaps!

At the end if you need to make any arrangement to meet any important official in US you have to ask Kosovar Leaders, sorry but this is the reality.

Ataman

pre 15 godina
