"This thing is an Albanian pipe dream like the great Albanian highway from Albania to Kosovo"

I hope it is "a pipe dream" like the highway, the Albanian Highway is scheduled to finish this May and it was mostly done with budget money. How is Corridor 10 goin? I know.

Canadian...

The Albanian highway may have sounded like a pipe dream 5 years ago, but today, Albania's share of the road is 90% complete. Hardly a pipe dream any more.

Both Croatia and Albania are signatories to the NPT. I don't think Russia and China can do anything about these two countries building nuclear power plants (if the want to) provided the correct monitoring from IAEA is in place.

It would cost over 1.5 Billion dollars to build a proper Nuclear plant not to mention all the Security approvals that would have to be granted by certain world leaders, China and Russia to name just a couple. This thing is an Albanian pipe dream like the great Albanian highway from Albania to Kosovo. Neither country can afford to build this plant even if they pool their money and neither country would get security approval to build it.

(Serbo)Canadian you just showed you understood nothing from these articles, nor do you know anything about Albania and Kosovo.

The cost of this NPP is 4 billion, not 1,5. And it takes 8-10 years to build one so money is not a problem.

As for China and Russia not allowing this, they already do and they have always allowed even in Hoxha's time or at the beggining of the 90-s.

Russia and China are not always against anything pro-Albanian/Croatian. You and some other people here have a distorted view of International politics especially because you confuse them with what you desire.

The big highway between Albania and Kosovo is almost complete so it being only a dream is only your wish.

Last year 30,000 Serb tourists visited Albania, thanks to this road this year that number will be bigger.

Cheers.

Glad that they will take all the necessary precautions and studies needed for such a big project. In the meantime, it would also be advisable as the minister is also suggesting, to bring Montenegro into the fold. Montenegro for now has laws against building nuclear plants on its soil but if Croatia, Albania and Montenegro find a solid understanding, and build it in Albania in a location that would suit all three, then this could be beneficial to all three of these countries.

To fully understand the nuc. power plants "benefits" with possible impact on human lives, pls. Google:
"List of nuclear power plants in America"
"The more you know about such plants, the more frightened you'll be - and should be."
There were no nuc power plants built in the USA since 1996 - it took 23 years to build that one with the TWICE possibility of mishaps.
