Justice will indeed prevail, but certainly not in the way that some of these frankly delusional posters pretend to believe. the nightmare of the 90s that was foisted upon the world by milosevic's serbia's will NEVER be supported by intl law, regardless of how many times this belgrade regime claims to be "pro-west, pro-democratic." (they are neither, duh.)

the icj's ruling will probably be fairly mushy-pushy, but however it turns out, the belgrade regime will claim "victory" just as they did in 1999 (actually the language of 1984, orwell-style.)

as for the language of these so-called news stories and the promotion of the regular ethnic slurs about the "albo's" -- i think it all speaks for itself (read my mind.)

blero,

The Serbian government can produce a mountain of evidence of a decades-long campaign of separatism by the k-albos culminating in the UDI. Your vaunted m. wood is going to have a difficult time arguing for the right to destabilize a country. It is an impressive job that Serbia was able to condense all that in 1000 pages; they must assume everyone who lives west of them has ADD. You must have assumed that this court is the politically biased 3-judge tribunal for Yugoslavia. This is the ICJ - the same court that rejected Bosnia's claim of genocide against Serbia. Too bad for you. By the way, only bill clinton can deny the past, not you.

In a way Serbia will win whatever the outcome turns out to be. If they say it wasn't legal, things are in place. If however they say it was legal other "freedom movements" will actively start working on their independence. Ironically, some of those countries bombed Serbia, and I cannot wait to see their Kosovo.

The very best if luck,Serbia.

Really, I wish you more than luck. I wish that justice will prevail; I wish that International Law will not be undermined; I wish that the result will spur honest good-living governments all over the World to establish an Independent Tribunal to investigate the facts of what I call 'The Kosovo i Metohija Tragedy'.

Blero,

you can´t spin it the way you wish - once this direction, the other time the other direction...

usually you are claiming that your are "fighting" for independence since Serbia liberated its southern province from the Ottomans, and now all of a sudden, that all doesn´t count anymore? now it´s only 2009 that counts? strange...

logic is something completely different.

Sorry JohnBoy,……….What???
Nothing you said makes sense!!!
KLA was in the 90s.
Parallel institutions were from the 80s to 1999!!!
Now is 2009.
Without these two there would be no declaration of independence.
So, your comment just makes no sense (or am I missing something here)!!!

The albos lost this case when they revealed the existence of their separatist army, the KLA, and set up their parallel institutions. They should have kept their big mouths shut. A ruling in their favor would legitimize every wacko, rebel group in the world. Nobody will concede that this is a unique situation; every criminal claims that he is the victim. That is why they will lose big time.
