I love it how the UN all of a sudden couts for something - I guess most people commenting here must have a selective memory because as far as I can remember, Serbia ignored the UN for a decade during its war with Croatia and Bosnia, refused to cooperate with UNMIK during the formation of JIAS, blamed UNMIK for creating a 'state' in Kosovo during the PISG formation, but now is all about the UN?! Alban - It might be the case that the EU wants to get rid of UNMIK but EULEX only has permission to operate from the UNSC, NOT from Pristina. This is evidenced by the fact that EULEX waited for UNSC permission and more importantly, Serbia's permission. The EU understand that Kosovo is run by the UN, not the EU. They have to follow UN rules, not the other way round. So they have to listen to Russia and China - they have no options. Thaci and Sejdiu are just mouthpieces for the US and EU - They say what they are told to say, nothing more. If that's the definition of an independent state then I'm a martian.
