Koštunica wants elections, SRS agrees

As an outsider, I do not qualify to comment on internal Serbian politics or elections.

I just hope that the outsiders in the higher echelons of power in the EU and Washington follow my example by keeping their noses out of any forthcoming election that the Serbian Nation might hold for itself.

Just a year of Kostunica and Serbia will be back 2-5 years back on their EU hopes, giving a clear edge to Albania. Of course with the crisis Kosova is gone even more as Kosova /Feith are offering local Serbs 500 EUR a month salaries when Serbia is cutting aid.

Too bad. The time of Serbs taking bribes and obeying your orders is ending. They will still take your money, but won't repay the favor. With the eu going bankrupt and denying their promises, these albos still think most Serbs want to join the eu. My advice to Serbia: build the gas storage tanks with Russia. You are the number 1 people in the Balkans and you know it. Look at how much news appears about you everyday on the Internet compared to your neighbors. The Serbian foreign minister (whoever he is) can visit any country in the world; half of the world is off-limits to hillary.

The "Us vs. Them" attitude usually leads to a dead end.

If the government doesn't have the authority, as Mr. K states, then new elections won't change that.

It is a harsh time for the world economically, not just Serbia. If Serbia really wants out of this crisis, then give a government enough time to make changes and policies and stop calling for new elections every 13 months, just because your party lost out.

In case Dragan Todorović has truly said
"[...] it is better to solve the accumulated problems and political tensions in the polls than in other ways", excuse me, but he is a complete fool.

The supporters of shrinking SRS see their illusions vanishing and caravan disappearing into horizon. By the time we reach next elections the dogs are already eating each others.

That's the future. But it isn't so because I'm a visionary. It's because I know it. It is what the voting majority wants and needs. There are still some diehards on the street corners, in the pubs and commenting here on B92 website, I don't deny this. But talking to many ordinary people has convinced me that the majority of them support the present politics while understanding that it isn't perfect, as nothing can be. But it's a road forward.

Mr.Kostunica a constitutional lawyer will tackle economic crisis- give a break.
