More empty promises, more platitudes. Mr Kacin's statement about the K-Albanians is blindingly obvious. However what he didnt state is that they are been taken for a ride and will in the end learn the hard way as their latest benefactor will move on. Just ask the Turks, Germans and Chinese.

“Serbia’s problem is the absence of [Ratko] Mladić and [Goran] Hadzić,“ said Kacin, adding that the Stabilization and Association Agreement would be unfrozen the moment Mladić was extradited to the Hague.

Well that's that then. It doesn't look like these two will be handed over. Nobody knows where they are and if you know where these two are you are more than welcome to come and get him.

I find it very insulting that these Eurocrats can keep telling us that Serbia will be in the EU soon and then slap a condition like this one knowing that it isn't likely to happen.

They are constantly insulting our intelligence and Tadic seems to just accept it.
Just be honest and say that Serbia is not welcome. You will get a lot more respect then.
If Serbs are that gullible and buy this then they will suffer the consequences. I say, go with Russia and tell them you are going with Russia. They will have a lot more respect for Serbia that way.

"He added that U.S. President Barack Obama’s upcoming appointment of an envoy to the Western Balkans would be very important for Kosovo, “where the people simply adore the U.S.“"

a highly cynical comment, typical to slovenian role in the former yugoslavia - this certainly isn't the view of the non-albanian citizens of kosovo, particularly the 200000+ serbs kicked out from the province ...

I see Kacin's mouth moving, but no tangible words coming out. False promises coming from a stooge apointed by a darker hand that hides behind a curtain where the real deals are done.

I believe that Serbs are the most ingenious and competent ethnic group in the Balkans. That can lead to both great destruction and fantastic results depending on how you handle it. The EU and U.S. have NOT handled things good the last decade and that's the main reason for the depressing situation today. But I am optimistic. Sooner or later the west will learn how the Serb mentality works and also learn how to cooperate on equal and fair terms.

During his visit to Serbia, the rapporteur also visited Novi Pazar, “so as not everything should happen in Belgrade and Novi Sad, but also in the least developed, south part of Serbia, at the border, where crime and corruption is flourishing,“ and where, according to him, the need for European funds and Serbia’s speedy regionalization was plain to see.

If Serbia joined the EU, she would have access to the EU's Structural and Cohesion Funds. I think there is a need for these funds especially in the south part of Serbia.

"His report is absolutely meaningless fluff unless it results in concrete actions by the EU. "

EU has agreed with Obama to speed up all the Balkans countries in EU: Albania, Serbia, Bosnia, Fyrom, Kosova, Crna Gora.

It must be because the people in Kosovo are expecting all this promised US investment soon where all the province's problems of unemployment and lack of business opportunities will be solved.
Clinton sent the cheque in the post but surface mail can take a long time.

The whole thing is so very sad.

You want action? Well stop the inaction on Mladić and Hadzić. Find them and things will change for the better in Serbia. Publicly denounce those who harbour them and hold Serbia to ransom. Let us all move on.

Serbia is sick of EU promises that never come or are so heavily laden with conditions that they barely resemble the original promise.

Prove it or just shut up.
