Lybia? What about "the brothers" in North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, Bjellorus, Mongolia, Moldovia, Algeria..) Let me check the list> Serbia is very friendly with oppressive regimes
(EA, 9 April 2009 21:07)

1) Please mention the largest democracy of the planet (India)
2) It was just proven beyond reasonable doubt: Gambia's democratic establishment and "enlighted" rulers are not even near where Croatia, Russia, Hungary was more than 900 years ago. To mention Gambia in the same line with even

North Korea

is a major offense against NK (that's why I did break the line).

Proper wording:

"OK, we are really desperate to get recognition so even a pathetic rathole like 'Gambia' does count. We are well aware, the life as a stray dog in Kosovo is better than as human in Gambia. But we need their help to increase the count. Many thanks to Albanian FM who is probably behind this"

And don't say you are going to Gambia for vacation. Your money spent in Slovakia or Romania will bring more fun to you to begin with and you won't have much chances to be... who knows... eaten for dinner under sounds of tam-tam drum.

Case closed., I think.

At the end of the day, Libya is going to have more clout than Gambia. Spain and others that do not support the illegal UDI are also going to stop K alb aspirations. So, this fantasy of Kosova statehood is coming to an end. The last gasp will be the K albs trying to consolidate their ill gotten gains militarily. Sadly, for them, they will find that they are no longer supported by Big Daddy USA because Big Daddy has ovwerspent (banking crisis) and overextended himself militarily. The only thing the Kalbs can hope for is western indifference to terrorist acts when Serbia establishes its total over soverignty over KosovO.

Shocking link, Yaroslav.

I think, that country has some room to develop.

For instance, the codex of Grand-duke Yaroslav (same name as yours) of Kievian Rus

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russkaya_Pravda

has an interesting detail:

"While it shares a number of features with contemporary Germanic codifications (e.g., the Salic law), it is also distinguished by many peculiarities, such as the absence of capital punishment."

Again - it's the year 1017 and "ABSENCE OF CAPITAL PUNISHMENT".

Somewhat later (1095-1116) the Hungarian/Croatian king "Könyves" Kálmán

http://hr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koloman
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coloman_of_Hungary

had an interesting law:

"De strigis vero quae non sunt, nulla amplius quaestio fiat"
(As for the matter of witches, there is no such thing, therefore no further investigations or trials are to be held)

Interesting to note, Coloman did eat the soup himself he did prepare for others.
He married a princess from Kiev, she did cheat on him (poor guy!) and she was not stoned, crucified, impaled (I am sure there are many ways to get rid of a cheating wife in equatorial Africa) - instead he merely divorced and sent his former wife back to Kiev.

So given the circumstances.... and other 900 years from now and that pathetic rathole maybe will be where our forefathers were around 1100.

In the meantime they can spend the 33 silver coins they got from Albanian FM for arranging public stonings, witchhunts and other fun activities. That is probably the biggest ever income of their country.

What about recognitions like the recent one by Gambia? Why are they not publicised?

Or is the statement made by Libyan officials considered less reversible than the Gambian recognition?

Raga, they already claimed Libya would recognize before the UNGA vote in OCtober.

To Albanian posters. I'm pretty sure it's been posted in the Serbian news site. And even if it is posted in English, I'm pretty sure Serb posters will badger B92 to post this article about how the day Gambia recognized Kosovo it order a "witch-hunt" in which as many as 1,000 people were seized by armed men.

We have 7 states and need 41 more: Caribbean islands, many Muslims (after Obama reached to them) and some Africans and you will have Jeremic go nuts. Serbia must respect the will of the world (and EU /NATO members; 80% recognize Kosova)

Funny how Serbophobes are trying to use Libya's past to condemn Serbia regarding Kosovo.

Never mind the fact that the west is now on the most cordial relations with Libya since prior to 1969. Or that the west touts Libya as a model for other states with strained ties to the U.S. to follow.

Here are some arguments that make you think before coming up with the final conclusions; As far as Libyan presidency over the African Union is concerned , it is nothing but rotational nomination, it isn’t any crucial decision making position, adding up the famous African disharmony, then Libya’s unsustainably stance on its foreign affairs, I would not be so happy with its current stance. Another indication that makes me to consider this Minister’s optimism as untenable is the next; discussing Kosovo issue to a top religious Libyan leader and getting support for non-recognition! What did they discuss, that Albanians are not good Muslims? or Serbia is so firm in preserving Christianity?! I don’t think so. Or perhaps……
So Mr. Jeremic get focus on joint projects, agriculture, construction and any other field of economy that will be of real benefit to the people, leave aside dreams and virtuality.
By the way here is an advice; start relaxing relations with your neighbors, they are much closer than Tanzania, Sri Lanka or any other state, who of course disserve any respect as counterparts. But, as we said; Kosovo aside, run with economy and business.
