The government announced on Wednesday that the New York District Attorney has decided to hand over the Miladin Kovačević case to the Serbian judiciary.

The Steinhauer family was glad for all the money. Bryan Steinhauer was seen and pictured walking outside of his home to catch a taxi months ago - so he obviously wasn't injured near as much as was implied last summer.
Now he and his family are suing the bar (can you say more $$$$) because they served an under-aged Kovacevic.

so, now the US do not ask for extradition?
where´s their power gone?
...but let´s be serious again:
there is only one place where this guy can be sentenced, and that is Serbia.
bring all evidence, in my opinion even fly in american prosecutors and all they need to do their work in front of a serbian court - and then the law may be implemented.
seems like the US start realizing that they cannot do what they want anymore.
