Đukanović is the last communist dictator in the Balkans

You need to look at a dictionary definition of these two words "communist" and the word "dictatorship". Đukanović and Montenegro do not fall under either of these words my friend. Also remember that Yugoslavia claimed to be "Socialist" not "Communist".

Bganon, it's not just a divided opposition. The media in Montenegro is terrible.

The governemnt has bailed out a bank owned by the Djukanovic family and there was almost no reporting.

Then there is the fact that despite the last tourist season being significantly lower then in previous years the media hasn't challenged the govenrment claims of increases in tourists.

The figures given are strange though. Since there hasn't been any indication that the Socialist People's PArty has more support then the pro-Serb grouping led by Andrija Mandic. Then there's also why The Movement for Changes has experienced such a huge drop when all other polls for the last few years have given it a consistant averagfe of 12%.

anyways.. The results of the polls are doubted since other polls indicate different numbers and the results listed in the article are similar to those given by a pro-Djukanovic newspaper.

Just as on every occasion for the past 20 years, the Đukanović's DPS party-led coalition, dubbed, "For a European Montenegro", is absolute favorite. Why don't they say for a Serbian Montenegro any more?$?

It's so disappointing to hear these predictions about Dukanovic's victory. Where is the "vocal majority" who were so adamantly against Montenegro's recognition of Kosovo??? Has the opposition's hunger strike been totally forgotten??? I suppose that this shows that you are not really independent anymore- with NO control over your once-proud country! Sramota!!! Crnogorci USED to always be considered heros because of their unquenchable thirst for freedom...now it seems you are all slaves to Dukanovic and the West. Your legacy now for future generations will just be as cowards.

The Montenegrin political system of today reminds me of the Serbian political system yesterday.

A majority of people vote against Djukanovic / Milosevic and yet the opposition is always divided.

Đukanović is the last communist dictator in the Balkans and he has had two decades of undisputed rule, governing over an increasingly corrupt system. How is this possible in a democratic country? Well, he is completetly supported by the EU and the US. They take no notice of the fact that the government takes IDs cards from voters, harasses people and blocks any opposition. The system is completely undemocratic, based on cronyism and corruption and fear.
